As I mentioned elsewhere, it is not a new hotel, and this may show in your room. I was happy with mine and plan to return. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, with both Western and Asian options, as long as you can cope with a lot of people being there. Overall, I was happy with my stay and liked the hotel and the staff.

The hotel is a little older, and at least my suite looked a little old. If you are looking for new looking rooms, this hotel may not be totally suitable. The breakfast buffet is great, but the one time I had a meal at the hotel restaurant, I would rate it as mediocre.

The location next to the mosque was a bit tricky as the first call to prayer is at 4.30AM and is very loud. For those not praying themselves at this hour, this might be disruptive. We ordered room service one night and put the plates outside the room after. Regardless, the porter rang the doorbell twice and then even entered the toom. I was deep asleep with my baby so I got quite scared. The foot massage was not really a foot massage, but a leg massage. It was nice, but not really what I had expected ;-)

The grounds are lovely and the rooms are very well appointed. The hotel very kindly upgraded me due to street noise, and the suite was lovely, albeit a little worn in places: if you are thinking of getting a Junior Suite, I recommend paying the extra for the Level Suite, which faces onto the pool. Breakfast in the main restaurant was exceptional, and I recommend eating there even if you are in a Level room as the location and choice of food are superior to the Level Lounge. The spa and laundry service were also very good. Perfectly located for the main sites and only a short taxi ride from the mainline train station.

Rooms at the front can be noisy due to traffic and a persistent busker.

the shower tap is loosened so it will turn off by itself, the water speed of the shower is too low, the bathroom door need to be refreshed, room carpet is not really clean at the beginning, after the room service cleaned it that was how we know that the vacuum cleaner is the problem but in anyway they have to check it before hand the room to guests,

Lovely hotel with great pool and facilities near to the centre of Jogja. Level guest room was very nice with comfortable beds - welcome fruit and water drinks complimentary in room. Level lounge was very nice.

We ordered the Salmon in the poolside restaurant- it was not good - freezer burn and unpleasant taste. Would be better to check freezer stock to ensure quality especially with fish. Lounge snacks were generally good but the coffee machine is a bit broken so staff have to work this for you as the milk dispenser isn’t working correctly.

We booked the President Suite room at the Level floor at Melia Purosani, it has two big spacious rooms, powder room, the main bedroom has sauna and big jacuzzi, separate toilet and shower rooms the breakfast also has good local and continental food. Spa and swimming pool also suit all family and our kids as it has kids spa menu. Reception and concierge service also provides a professional and courtesy manner to us since we checked in and checked out. Overall, we were very happy stayed at Melia Purosani.

The staff were polite and professional. We realised that we lost our laptop on the first night. We were very panicky and unsure where we left it. They helped us to track down where it was by showing us photos of our bags during check in when they put them in our room. They also said to us that they'd asked the becak drivers leader if they saw a laptop bag just in case we left it during our becak journey and helped us contacting the train company. The manager also came to greet us and showed us the CCTV footage when we came to the hotel by becak, we then saw that we definitely left it either at the train station or on the train. Everyone was very helpful and took this matter in a professional manner. Laptop was found at the train station. We loved Melia hotel and would be back. The whole experience was very enjoyable because the staff were very exceptional. The playground was nice for our kids.

We upgraded our room to The Level, but we weren't told from the beginning that we'd still get our dinner package on top of the afternoon tea. At 9 PM we got a phone call that we hadn't eaten our dinner set... it'd be nice if we were informed beforehand.

It is a good place to stay while visiting Yogyakarta. The hotel provides spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The swimming pool is rather small however it is accessible until the evening and provides some refreshment after a busy day. Breakfast options are not too extensive, but the quality of the food is commendable. We have used spa services once, but it is rather hard to find a free slot there, as many guests are using it. The personnel is extremely polite and helpful. I believe we would stay there once again if traveling to Yogya. In the vicinity of the hotel is the main street with plenty of options to eat or go shopping (Malioboro).

The prices of drinks could be a little lower, however, they are probably proportional to the standard of the hotel. Overall, no complaints about the infrastructure of the hotel and services.

Located near Malioboro. The room was spacious, and the bathroom had a bathtub. The pool was good, especially for children, and there was a large enough garden area for outdoor activities. The parking lot was also quite spacious. The breakfast had a decent variety, though the taste was just average.

I booked a king-sized bed, but what I got was two twin beds pushed together and covered with one sheet. This resulted in an uncomfortable gap in the middle of the bed, which made sleeping in the center quite unpleasant.

Calm hotel in the centre of a frenetic city. A very short walk to Marlboro Street (main shopping and restaurant area). Staff are very friendly and helpful. Pool area is fabulous - a real oasis with the restaurants and bars around it. Spa was great - had a fabulous massage. Prices are very reasonable. Paid about 20% of the price of our Singapore hotel to stay here.

Although there were a lot of staff it took a while for food and drink to arrive and a long time to clear tables. Mostly because, like a lot of places in Indonesia, billing is done on paper so not the most efficient. Try to ask for an inside room. Ours faced the street and there was a busker outside in the day - his repertoire of 3 songs soon lost its charm. 🙄
