Great service and great menu. Enjoy the environment. Lovely boutique hotel. Unlike the big luxury hotels there are no huge conference rooms, long hallways, and long elevator rides. This is not a business meeting hotel. Its more of a an intimate luxury romantic thats picks up on the local cultural influence rather than a uniform international flavor. Local is a high end part of the city with nearby parks, museums, shops, and high end restaurants.

Doesn't have a fitness center but really didnt need one here since there is lots of exercise walking around. Probably not ideal place for kids or families. But thats okay with me since we are an older couple.

Great boutique hotel on quiet tree-lined street in Polanco. Really awesome location walking distance to a ton of amazing restaurants including Pujol. Also, nice walk to the large park, Parque Lincoln, where the Anthropological Museum is located. Staff is really accommodating and kind. Minibar is well-stocked with soda, beers, juices, local snacks/sweets. Rooms are spacious and really well-designed. We were in CDMX for my partner's birthday and the staff were lovely in arranging to have a brownie, balloons, and a handwritten note from the hotel manager, Solange. Really nice thoughtful touch!

Our room included breakfast and what was included in that breakfast varied each day. One day included breakfast rolls, other days did not. Even though the front desk agent informed us at the time of check-in, what would be helpful is to have a separate printed menu either in the room or in the restaurant and just have the customer point to what they want. The menu they hand out in the restaurant does not delineate what's included or not, it's the full menu so it was confusing.

This hotel is exquisite. Rooms were beautiful, super clean and the all access, well stocked fridge and snack bar were awesome and included in the rate. Beds were so comfortable and the staff did a beautiful job making our rooms brand new and well stocked each day. Towels were luxurious. The included continental breakfast was never a disappointment. This is a served breakfast, not a buffet. Fresh squeezed OJ, bread service, fruit service complete with yogurt, honey and granola, eggs and fresh blue corn tortillas were all provided with the immaculate attention of the staff, lead by Victor who greeted us by our names the first day and remembered our drink preferences. The Alest has a car that you can make arrangements for use. It’s a nice SUV that uses its AC (Ubers never do here) and is spacious if you are traveling with 4 (Ubers here run on the small side, even it you order an XL). The property is gorgeous and located withing walking distances of the best restaurants and shopping. Our expectations were exceeded and we will return.

Beautifully appointed rooms with great attention to detail , stunning interior design and great location. Much more personality than any of the big luxury hotel chains. The most beautiful hotel I’ve stayed in whilst I’ve been in CMDX. Hotel desk staff were friendly and helpful.

A minor point: Breakfast options included in the room could be improved so there is more variation and service was haphazard. I found charging extra for a bottle of water odd and I wasn’t given all the items included on the menu of the room breakfast on any of the days I was there.

The Alest is a happy and beautifully run hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, I didn’t want to leave! We were met by Victor and his wonderful team for breakfast every morning which was excellent & included a delicious fruit platter with yoghurt, honey and granola to accompany. Also freshly squeezed juices & very good coffee set in a lovely dining room full of natural light. Our bedroom was very clean and attended to at all times, being constantly replenished with soaps, lotions and endless little extras. The bed was unbelievably comfortable as were the pillows (very important!). We couldn’t fault a thing.

Nothing!

The location is exceptional. It is close to everything. The staff were very helpful and pleasant from the moment I stepped out of my taxi. The atmosphere of the hotel is lovely. The room amenities were exceptional. The bath towels, the robe, the shampoo and conditioner, the toothbrush, the slippers, everything was wonderful. The shower was fantastic. The refrigerator was stocked with water, sodas, beer, and there were plenty of snacks available for the tired guest. All food items and drinks in the room were available at no extra charge. The beds and sheets were top notch. So nice, so comfortable. The room had no exterior city view. There was a window with an interior view which was fine as the pleasantness of the room and offerings more than made up for the lack of an exterior view. How much time am I spending in the room when I am on vacation, not much. I mostly want a comfortable bed and a pleasant place. The Alest is wonderful. Breakfast was included in the price of the room and if you wished you could have your breakfast brought to your room at no extra charge. Breakfast was exceptional. I ate in the lovely dining area and service was wonderful. Wonderful boutique hotel. Staff was excellent. Hotel was comfortable and inviting after a long day of touring. Check in was at 3 and check out was between 12 and 1 pm. Fantastic Place! 10/10

It's nice to have a view of the city from the big hotels. However, this hotel was excellent and far superior to any of the large chain hotels. I can take in the view as I tour the city. This hotel was excellent.

Decoration is beautiful, everything very comfortable and clean. Amenities are the best. It feels like a very exclusive place, and more personalized than a standard hotel.

Breakfast was disappointing. It says it is included, but they have a special menu for the guests, which is very basic and it excludes a lot of options for breakfast. You end up paying for a very pricey breakfast.

Location was great. Staff was courteous and helpful. The Le Labo soap and shampoo were a very nice touch. There is also a quiet space where one could work.

Nothing really except the very draconian rules about what is or isn’t included in the breakfast. It’s not at all in line with the standing of the hotel and reflects badly/is cheap. Fir example, only a certain type of coffee is included but for an espresso, it will cost you an extra 5 dollars (wasn’t explained to us orally before we ordered, we discovered it after the fact, and didn’t complain or refuse to pay).

I recently stayed at the Alest Hotel, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The room was not only beautifully designed but also incredibly comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Polanco and the City. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, always welcoming and attentive. Overall, a fantastic boutique hotel that I would highly recommend!

Reception staff were excellent and very helpful, especially Carla. Restaurant staff very customer focused and breakfast choices were excellent.

House keeping at times for replenishing water and snacks were not comparable to other services. Coffee cups used were not cleaned during daily house keeping and supplies had to be asked for that were supposed to be provided.
