The location is outstanding, beautiful hotel, and the rooms are clean and I loved the look of them. The AC worked reasonably well and was very necessary! I found almost all the staff very friendly and helpful, particularly the lady who checked me in and worked so hard through the weekend. I also enjoyed the pool and steam room. Everything is walkable with a grocery store, boulangeries and restaurants nearby. The open market on Sunday was wonderful! And of course a short walk away is the Keep, church and lodge which are spectacular.

I wasn’t sure why my room wasn’t cleaned for three days… I think they were understaffed for the holiday. It was not a big deal as I was by myself. As soon as I brought it up they quickly sent people up to clean the room.

I was extremely disappointed as I am sure I booked with breakfast, afterall it was the same price as without and I expected the hotel as a minimum to offer a complimentary breakfast or 2 out of 4 nights. We had booked 1 room the week before incl breakfast and then changed it to 2 rooms for this week supposedly with same conditions. We were then told breakfast wasn't included. Even next week is at the same price roughly 150 a night INCLUDING breakfast.

We stayed in this hotel in May 24 when cycling to the Nice. We liked it so much we wanted to return and we did so in July 24. We were two people and a medium dog and we were given an room in the attic. It was simply too small and unsuitable. I made a "move" request to reception and we were moved to a larger room at no extra cost. Thank you. When making a booking online maybe booking.com should flag that the room is an attic room. The hotel was the old Palace de Justice that was repurposed/refurbished in 2019 and it is magnificent. The town has some good restaurants and well worth exploring. Market day on certain Saturdays during the summer, worth checking if they are weekly or monthly Saturday market days.

Being told that we were LUCKY that there had been another room available. I would counter that by saying we would not have stayed in this hotel in the attic room offered to us. Maybe we were both lucky that a room was available. :)

The hotel,is well located near the town, with good views of it from our room. Although an old building, it has been modernised beautifully. The room and bed were large and the bed was extremely comfortable. A separate toilet was good, and there is an excellent walk in shower in the bathroom. We had a balcony with two comfortable chairs, and was pleasant to sit there in the sunshine. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Loved the room - it was comfortable and modern. We enjoyed relaxing on the terrace and participating in the karaoke night. The restaurant had great service and the best salmarejo we have ever had! It was a great location for walking to the Loches market. Really loved everything about our stay here and hope to come back.

Would like to have stayed longer to try more dishes at the restaurant and use the spa.

Great position in middle of town and very quiet . Free parking in the square right in front of the dramatic main entrance. Well executed refurbishment of all internal areas.

Poor value breakfast and very little sign of staff in dining room. Whilst the room was fabulous with very comfortable bed, the hotel lacked a certain “buzz” in public areas. Our check in girl was very young and had not been fully trained and struggled somewhat even though we spoke French, she had to keep asking for help from a colleague.

The hotel was a very pleasant surprise - nicely appointed, great staff, and very comfortable room.

The restaurant was mediocre and the service was very slow. I don't know if they had a specific staffing issue or if it was a regular occurrence, but it took much longer than expected to get any service for what appeared to be a fairly small number of patrons.

Lovely location in the centre of Loches with parking just outside the front gates to the hotel. Very comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Nice terrace with bar service.

The restaurant service was chaotic and we both had to reject our main courses (first time ever) as the steak was incredibly tough and inedible - we settled for a charcuterie board instead!

We loved this hotel and this lovely little town. The hotel has a real sense of luxury without overcharging. everyone was made to feel special. The rom was great with a lovely view of the town. The town was accessible by foot and had some great shops and markets as well as the castle. Would certainly plan to return here and recommend to friends. Just gorgeous! We also ate at the hotel and the food was superb!

The hotel architecture is impressive and it is a very clever conversion. Our room was ideal for a family of four adults. One bed on a mezzanine,, one in a separate room. Very modern shower room with a very efficient shower. The spa is an added bonus and the hotel's central location worked for us. Despite the central location it was quiet on a Tuesday night in September.

It was difficult to bring the temperature down to a comfortable level in the main room although it was a very hot day. Access into the pool is a bit tricky for anyone with mobility problems (no handrail). The choices in the restaurant were very limited and some food was bland an ill balanced.
