The property at first glance appears to be smart and modern. Our room was ground floor and had a terrace looking towards the pool. The patio door broke whilst we were there and the hotel handyman came to repair it immediately. There was a dishwasher and a fridge; ideal. The kitchen area was compact but adequate. Plenty of storage areas for clothing and accessories. The bedroom is at the rear of the apartment and consists of just two narrow single beds. The hotel is very central to the lovely town. It has parking to the rear of the buildings which is free and is reasonably secure.

Our room was showing signs of wear and tear on the furniture. The ground floor rooms experience quite a lot of foot traffic from the other residents.

The location is fabulous. We loved being in the centre of town. It was nice to be able to walk to bars, shops and restaurants. Be sure to book a room with a balcony / garden or you will have no outside space at all. As after the pool closes there is nowhere else to sit outside on site. Apartments were well equipped, especially with kitchen utensils. We made use of the Navette to the zoo / Château's that stops right outside and is excellent value.

No outside space in some rooms. Be sure to check what you have booked.

The location was wonderful and the view of the chateau beautiful. Very central to Loches, making everything accessible and within walking distance. We didn't use the pool but it looked beautiful. A bonus for us was the ample parking close to the entrance. The apartment was well equipped, with everything needed for light occasional cooking. Fridge worked perfectly. A wonderful amount of storage space, unusual in rentals.

The 'decor' in the original mill building was a little tired, with bleach spills marking the carpet. Amazingly the double glazing did not mask all the external noise. I imagine in hot weather air conditioning units would make the rooms more bearable. The kitchen was practical, but the microwave was a good 1.8m high. Too high for me to see inside, never mind use. Some aspects need re-thinking. Why, for example, have a 12 piece dishwasher in a small apartment, when a model 450mm wide suffices for 12 covers?

Excellent location in the heart of Loches and secure. Very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Free secure car park which is a bonus.

If, like us you arrive late it can be confusing. We arrived late evening having let the staff know, however they forgot to give us the access code to the building in order to get the key to our accommodation. We were lucky two residents helped us.

Great location near to facilities, shops and transport. Locals are friendly and helpful. Two beautiful parks nearby which we used for lunchtime picnics. Excellent farmers markets on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. We discovered the parks by accident and a local person mentioned the markets. These should be promoted more.

Late check-in at 5pm and no option to store bags until check-in.

What a great find - lovely generous space overlooking the river, lots of facilities, helpful staff, free parking, 2 steps from the centre. And at a giveaway price. It's a gem.

If I was being ultra picky, the WiFi wasn't so good

Everything is superlative - easy access from the city, only a few steps from the historical center, large parking behind the complex and, above all, a superb panorama of the castle.

Everything! Beautiful apartment. Fantastic location. Historic centre, shops etc just outside hotel gates. Market was 2 min walk away in the cente Bus and train stops very close by. Staff were very professional and welcoming. Lovely pool and terrace for relaxing.

Nothing. Everything was perfect. Would definitely make a return visit. Surrounding area so interesting and some lovely quaint villages nearby.

Very charming place in a beautiful city. We liked the location and it was very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. We are very pleased.

No air conditioning so it gets quite warm.
