Absolutely superb stay at Hotel La Lucertola as a birthday treat and were upgraded upon arrival which was a lovely bonus. The room was spacious with the most wonderful balcony and stunning views of the sunrise. We left the door open slightly at night to hear the sea lapping against the rocks below which was delightful. We ate a delicious meal at the restaurant upon a return from a day in Capri and sat on the terrace with evening views of Salerno in the distance.

There did not appear to be a sundeck for use as described when we booked. However this did not detract from our stay in any way as the location is suited for trips down to the beaches or walks up the hill into the town.

Great location, bus stop straight outside hotel, to get to main town and then catch another bus to Salerno or along Amalfi coast. Room was generous, comfortable beds and soft pillows. The balcony and the view was a highlight. The sea stretching out in front of you. Perfect view

The bathroom basin was in main area instead of in the bathroom - just found that took some getting used to. No complimentary water provided and no shops close to purchase so this quickly added up. No tea / coffee facilities so you had to order from the restaurant at room service prices.

Amazing location just 5 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the main centre. Room had a balcony with full sea view mainly looking to the port area. Very clean with fridge and tv with some English channels. Good AC. Wonderful restaurant over looking the sea which served a beautiful dinner and breakfast. Staff all very friendly and helpful with perfect English. Felt really safe. Easy to get to by taxi from Salerno (however taxis expensive at £40).

Close to a beach which on a Friday night turns into a club and you can hear the music. Bedding a little dated.

Clean and nice hotel on the cliff with an amazing sea view! Location is close to the beaches, food and coffee shops. The lady who was greeting us was fantastic (sorry didn’t catch her name). She was also very helpful getting us a shuttle to the airport last minute as our previously booked online one had cancelled on us last minute. The city view on the hills was spectacular!

The amount of stairs to go down the hill from the bus stop, with our carry-on luggage was devastating! No one mentioned the steepness of the location anywhere in reviews :((, but it kills the first impression if you travel by public transportation! Forget about it and get the taxi!!!

Great place at the other, less famous end of the Amalfi. A beautiful room with a gorgeous balcony. Only about 10 min walk to public beach and 15 to the old town. Great staff. Parking right there. Very easy. We were not put off by other bad reviews and we were glad we weren’t.

The seagulls at breakfast. Don’t try to put a plate full of food down and leave it unattended outside on their gorgeous balcony overlooking the sea. Those seagulls are HUNGRY! LOL 😂

The ocean view from the rooms and restaurant were spectacular. The staff was very nice. The rooms and hotel are kept very clean. We had a faulty AC unit in our room. The room was hot, but the staff was kind enough to move us to a better room (with a bathtub) at no additional cost. This made what would have been a bad experience into a great experience and was very much appreciated.

Unfortunately, this hotel does not have a swimming pool. Our teenage daughters love spending hours in the swimming pool and they did not have that option. There is a local beach within 10 minute walking distance, which helps.

AMAZING!!! You sit on the terrasse of your room that hangs over the ocean and you feel like you are floating over the sea. It was so unique. The nearby harbour is an endless spectacle, but no noise comes across at all. It is like a silent movie. At night the sound of the waves is like a cradle song. Parking is available and the staff is very helpful in moving cars around. The staff in gerenral was TOP in every way. Food was excellent, always fresh and abundant. The little town of Vietri sul Mare is a great place to stay if one wants to explore the Amalfi Coast. VIVA ITALIA!!!

The view from the room is amazing, hearing the sound of the sea all the time is super relaxing. The private beach of the hotel is really convenient and they also provide shower option and you can order drinks/food from the bar.

The furnitures and the rooms need some renovation and the cleaning in the room is not perfect - like dust on the tv and on other furnitures.

Wonderful location overlooking the sea. Clean room, albeit with furniture that looks a bit dated. The bed was comfortable though. We booked a room with a balcony and sea view, and this was the best thing about our 2 night stay. The breakfast was very good, served overlooking the sea. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Vietri sul Mare beach, which is wide and sandy.

The bathroom was perfectly clean, but the shower looks old and worn and needs to be renovated.

The location of this hotel is spectacular. Our room had a balcony overlooking the sea. It was so lovely to sit in bed and listen to the waves roll in. It's just a short walk downhill to the cute town. They have parking too which is so helpful. The staff was incredibly nice. We ate breakfast every morning in the restaurant and it was very complete with eggs, pastries and such. We ate dinner in the restaurant one night and it was really good. I had a local fish in acquapazza and it was delicious! Highly recommend this hotel and location!! Vietri sul Mare is lovely!
