The building is loaded with character and whilst we chose a ‘comfort’ room we had everything we needed for our stay. The surprise was the opportunity to take an evening menu at the hotel - the staff were incredible from check in to the bar and the proprietor cooked THE best Lamb Curry ever then chatted with us about wine, the region, places to visit and cheese !! It was a fabulous, memorable evening.

The only challenge is finding the car parking which is not far but wish we’d asked prior to arrival as hotel is in a pedestrian area - don’t let you put that off - parking is v close and very low cost.

A small boutique hotel right in the centre of town, only seconds from the main square. Reception staff were amazing, friendly and approachable. The owner greeted my husband warmly on each occasion we saw him and the hotel has an atmosphere of relaxed friendly welcoming feel. Our bathroom was awesome given the room we booked, so look out for an overhead shower and not one over a bath.

The location is very central. It has bucket loads of character. Incredible value in such a pretty town. Owner and staff were very helpful. Could not have been better at the price.

Nothing significant. Parking and dropping bags is a little tricky but you’ve got to expect that in a medieval town.

The hotel is located in a very good position in the centre of the town, close to local amenities and restaurants. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast (paid extra) was very good. The bar is also good.

I had a room with a sunken bath, which was not really convenient for my age.

Like everything from start to finish excellent location great friendly staff and service was excellent.room was spotless bathroom was excellent and shower facilities were also excellent will definitely go back there.

From the owner to everyone else working there, they were very warm, very hospitable and have a very positive vibe. Therefore one has a great stay.

It’s quirky Appeal, high specification and location, staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome especially the owner Phillipe, can’t recommend this place high enough.

Loved the refurbishment. Rooms were of a great size. Lovely spacious bathroom with nice white fluffy towels. Central location. Helpful friendly staff. Delicious breakfast with good choices.

The hotel is quite pretty, with an interior patio from which guests climb or ride the elevator to their rooms. The reception desk was almost always attended. Staff were generally very helpful . The room, on the 3rd floor, was spacious and pleasant with useful furniture and closet space. The bathroom was in the room, and it was well-kept. We chose not to purchase the breakfast, as there were many nearby cafe's and bakeries. The hotel is well-situated for any walking tour of Castres.

When we reserved online, we were encouraged to reserve to eat dinner at the hotel. The dinner was a bit underwhelming, with a staff change in the very middle of it. We opted to sit outside because we are Covid-cautious. The outdoor seating was possible, which was a positive, but not well-attended. We were two of four people who ate dinner there that night. It felt as though we'd been roped in, and there were plenty of other dinner options in town.
