The Hotel Spa La Casa del Rector Almagro is a shining gem wrapped in old world Spanish custom and brimming with modern conveniences. After a weary day-and-a-half of travel, my family was graciously welcomed into the hotel with familial warmth and was able to settle right in to rest before exploring Almagro proper. The staff was courteous & attentive and the hotels provisions were on point. We decided to stay in the first night and enjoyed room-service; choosing from a selection of tapas that were both light and filling, and absolutely delicious. The town of Almagro was also distinct and charming, with a bustling market, cafes, and historical/cultural sites including a museum dedicated to theater.

We didn’t find anything we didn’t like. If we had to find something here to write, it would be that there was no tub in the bathroom as we were traveling with a 3.5 year old toddler, but really the place was great.

From initial enquiries regarding parking until check out, staff were exceptionally helpful and polite. On arrival we were greeted by most helpful staff and in the evening the staff went out of their way to provide us with a fantastic wine and cheese night cap. The location is ideal - away from Plaza Mayor but only an 8 minute walk from town centre. The hotel cum spa is very tranquil and the bedroom although a basic double was more than adequate. Plenty of hot water and beds were very comfy.

Information at check in. Friendly staff. beautiful entrance. All facilities very sustainable. High tech lightning and enough sockets in a modern room. Comfortable beds. Top shower! Situated in a beautiful small city of Almagro.

Temperature in the room too high. You can call the reception to lower it, it still felt hot. And as the window opens to a covered patio, we missed fresh air. Rooms a bit dark.

The hotel was really nice! The staff was super friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was very diverse, also for celiacs!

The bathroom door was made of glass so there was not really privacy. Also the fridge was very noisy.

Everything went well. Ample sized room, very clean, with a comfortable bed. Bonus, not usually found in Spanish hotels, tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was extra, but good value. The whole interior of the hotel was unusual and very pleasing.

I didn't like the fact that the natural light for the room came from a shaft so that privacy was available by lowering an electric blind. Unfortunately, I managed to damage this blind but we were given a slightly better room without any fuss by the excellent and friendly staff.

A beautiful converted 17th century house. the interior exceeded al expectations. we stayed in the new wing which was tastefully decorated and the art work and layout complimented it. The room was lovely and comfortable bed and other accessories. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wished we stayed another night as the town is so historic and we would have liked to have explored it more. Would certainly return and recommend it.

What a hidden gem. You have no idea what awaits behind the facade. Our room. in the modern part of hotel. was exceptional. particularly for the price paid. Marta and staff were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to give us the best experience.

The design of hotel was unexpectedly perfect, I was impressed of this combination of antique and avant-garde. Room, bathroom, air-condition, interior of the room, equipment, all things were perfect. And staff were also very friendly

I visited this hotel in winter-time, so there no many visitors. And breakfast could be served personally, but nobody reported me this on the reception

The room was beautiful and the service was reat - did not expect to pay for each cup of coffee ordered at breakfast separately - clients should be aware of this - everthing at breakfast is charged including coffee even if you get the full breakfast Otherwise everything was wonderful and its about 4 Euro per cup which is very high and we just never asked so important to be aware of this
