We loved the isolation, peace and tranquillity of this Resort. Make no mistake this is not your usual high end aircondition resort. The resort is not aircoditioned except for the yoga hall and the double bungalows and facilities are quite basic but this is part of the charm of the place. The staff are super helpful and the food was excellent. The pool was a great place to cool off as it was still hot and humid.

We loved everything about the place but the isolation was a plus for us as we just wanted to relax. But this may not suit everyone. The lack of air-conditioning may also be difficult for some people but we were okay with fans and the joy of the massive cooling effect of the evening rain storms.

Gorgeous place, and a beautiful concept. Great place to relax and enjoy some calm and stillness. We had a wonderful experience with the yoga teacher who suggested to teach the evening class on the riverside with a view on the sun set :)) The staff were very sweet and entertained our son while we had our meals :)

We did not use the pool as it was too hot and there is not much if any shade around the pool - which also means the tiles are burning hot! Some of the staff were not proficient in English, which sometimes made the communication tricky. There was some confusion at check in/check out as a result - but all ended well in the end!

Our stay at Hanchey was unplanned but very nice. The rooms are large and beds are very comfortable. The bathroom shower drained a bit weirdly (the whole bathroom floor flooded), but that was a minor issue. The staff were very nice. The restaurant served very tasty and reasonably priced food. The location is on a hill that overlooks a town and it receives a very nice breeze. We did not take advantage of the yoga classes, but those are offered there as well.

I had visited this resort before but stayed in one of the dorms & this time tried a 'double room' which was actually a whole hut! The rooms are gorgeous with super comfy beds & the eco friendly toiletries are a lovely touch. The views are amazing from the restaurant, pool, yoga studio & rooms. The food is good but on the expensive side. The whole vibe of this place is so relaxing & it is just absolutely beautiful

The pool was dirty & full of lots of dead insects/leaves so we could not use it. We did tell a member of staff and ask if they could turn the filter on to try and clear the pool but nothing was done

Exceptionally beautiful property with the best and friendliest staff. We had the most delicious Fish Amok here that we learned to cook ourselves with the chef. An added bonus is that it is a social project, offering education in hospitality to local youths.

We did not always have hot water, but staff was always available to find a solution.

The really nice and friendly stuff. The loneliness and the quiet Place on the hill. The good food and drinks, and good price. The swimming pool was perfect for refreshing and clean. Thank you!

The stay was nice with a good environment and view of the river. The price of the food was reasonable. The room was spacious and good facilities.

The hot water did not work well. The water was still a bit cold even it was turn on.

Amazing structure in bamboo, designed with a great style. Many beautiful flowers and plants and trees and birds everywhere! Yoga sessions at sunset and sunrise were stunning Last but not least, the best customer care ever in Cambodia!

Beautiful location and nice design. Comfortable bed and fans to keep cool, and plenty of space to hang your clothes. Good quality food and huge breakfast. The sunset boat tour was amazing and can be marketed more - you go see an island that had hundreds of vibrant green bee-eaters (birds), swallows and plovers. The walk on a deserted island is beautiful without any plastic. The fruit pagoda is easy to reach by bike and worth the visit as well. We also visited the island reached by ferry, but there we didn't see much apart from an old pagoda - ferry ride is a nice small adventure thought. We also loved the chanting from the village down the hill, very atmospheric in the evening on the terras.

We stayed 2 nights and would have liked to see a towel change (we asked but didn't happen) and water refills. The bathroom floor is very slippery. Also the bikes are for free, but be careful as the breaks don't work. Note that to go to the boat tour you have to go on the back of a scooter and walk down a steep path.

It was my fourth visit to the resort and I just can't get enough of the place.. It's perfectly located within driving distance from Phnom Penh and hence offers a perfect weekend escape from Phnom Penh's hustle and bustle.
