The understanding hospitality of the front desk manager for the night, and the beds. And can’t forget the breakfast in the morning! I had started the booking as my husband and myself were pulling into Tehachapi and wound up making a reservation here at the Baymont Hotel and by the time I had confirmed we were going to call it a night and stay the time ticked past midnight so the booking reservation switched without notice until the moment I had clicked for my card to process the payment and wound up reserving a room for the next day. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful in regards to the minor mistake while using technology. He got us into a room under my husbands name and was prompt on steps to get the first booking resolved.

I really didn’t have any complaints.

Our first time in Tehachapi for a retirement party at a local Pub. One night stay. Hotel staff was super friendly and welcoming. The grounds and room were very clean. Although you can tell this hotel is older, it has been renovated well. Some issues identified were very minor and acceptable. The room (120) television remote was not working properly, making it hard to change channels, volume, etc. When the TV was turned on it automatically went to full 100% volume up. Made it a bit annoying. The complimentary breakfast had very limited choices, which was discouraging. But the food that was available was good and area was very clean. Suggestion: time to change out the old Best Western trashcans with logos still visible. Housekeeping should cut down on the strong smelling chemicals (Fabuloso i think), however it ensured room was clean. So it was worth it. We would definitely stay here again as it had better reviews than most local hotels and great value!

Our little family loved this hotel. Everything about the room was well thought out for convenience as well as appeal to a variety of personal needs. The liquid soaps on the walls are wonderful. The touch light on the bathroom mirror was great. My husband loved the cabinetry covering microwave and refrigerator. My 3 year old loved the arm chair at the desk which allowed him to sit and play, and sit and eat without the worry of falling off. The room was spacious allowing for walking around with ease and the cleanliness was welcoming and much appreciated. Thank you so very much for a wonderful night during our long drive home.

Welcomed our dog for a small fee.

Booking.com made the statement in their check-in that bringing a dog would result in an exorbitant fee; that dogs were not permitted or allowed - A blatant lie designed to line the pockets of booking.com because Baymont does allow dogs. Once you sign the check-in agreement, they got you. So don't sign the agreement if bringing a dog. If calling the Baymont hotel directly, the hotel does not answer the phone most of the time.

I was greeted with a smile by a lovely little gal who held a nice little conversation while efficiently checking me in. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. This is a town halfway to our destination that we travel to quite frequently. We will be staying again on our way home and again and again on every trip we take to California. Thank you so much for providing us with just what we need and more than we hoped for!

Adequate for all the sleep I needed--raised heat and slept in two days - nice to return to warmth and a good night sleep, good items for breakfast. I'm not a roast coffee person--sure wish there was old type available--or tea/cocoa or others.

coffee choices - I'm not an espresso or roast coffee drinker - more of the old "dunkin donut" type. Very light. Sure would be nice if I could bring my own single serve and use in a single serve machine.

There were a few eateries and fuel stops right there which was convenient and easy parking at different enttances to the hotel. We were glad we were on the first floor as no lift. Liked that there was a self serve breakfast on offer. The bathroom was a great size too.

The bed had 3 small pillows would have preferred 2 standard sized ones

Room was good, clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable. Cleaning staff was quite helpful with needed supplies. Shower was good with hot water.

Breakfast was a little on the light side especially if you didn't get there when it was first offered. Front desk could have been a little more pleasant. Just a tad grumpy but we worked around it.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of towels and large size shampoo and conditioner and body wash check in was very Quick and the customer service was kind and helpful and and the continental coffee and bagels was very much appreciated thank you and Keep up the Good Work

There is absolutely nothing I didn't like about my stay

Room great as was the bed, very comfortable. Thought breakfast very adequate, had something for everyone. Very good, loved the waffles.

I reserved on line but then found a cheaper rate through the hotel website, but the check-in clerk would not work with us on giving us the cheaper advertised rate. Did not care to work with us on any level. Said they never offer that low of a rate, I even showed her the advertised rate she still made no attempt to accommodate me. Other than checking in, our stay was great. Thank you.
