very quiet (curfew at 21h respected), great location close to highway. very friendly and professional staff. didn't smell like fish at all! it smelled clean and fresh. accepted our two dogs without issue. a little dated, but clean and good value

i personally wasn't a fan of the pillows. Not enough form to it. but that nit picking

Aal-Kate is a reason in itself for visiting. To eat fish (aah, and in our case, also to ride on the Schwebebahn - which I have known about since the 1950s, and always wanted to ride!). The room was more than passably comfortable, but the evening meal and the breakfast were just superb! But don't come here if you don't like fish!!

There really wasn't anything! We were pleased to be there, and enjoyed our stay!

Staff were great, breakfast was amazing. We needed a place for a one night stop over and it was a great choice. However, for a longer stay than 2 nights we would choose something more comfortable.

Fridge and some lights did not work. Once the window was open, the traffic was unfortunately noisy.

the breakfast was very good, it included smoked salmon, and quality items. the location was good for us as we went to local museums and it was close to the autobahn to continue our journey

the window in my room did let in noise compared to my friends room, but the traffic stopped overnight so was not an issue.

Fortunatelly I could find a room in this strange Covid-19 period. Room 2 is old but clean and bed is good.

Unfortnatally no coffee at arrival and breakfast was simple, but fresh.

Breakfast was superb. The place was kind of out-of-date yet everything was impeccably clean - truly German-clean. That we enjoyed. The bed (at least mine) was lovely hard and perfect for my worn and demanding back. Bed linen and specially the pillow were worth the best of dreams.

Our rooms were facing the street, which was incredibly loud all night long - lorries with no end. As the night was unbearingly hot and the rooms were not air-conditioned (basically not that much a problem normally), we kept all windows open and a few of the young athletes travelling with me were complaining about interrupted and uneasy sleep. With windows closed hardly any noise came through, but we wouldn't have had enough oxygene to survive. The WC was funny as it was coupled with the shower, which was accessible by litterally climbing over the WC. But yes, everything was clean and functional and served the purpose.
