Beautiful house, lovely hosts and great breakfast. The room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed and surface area for things. Beautiful shared bathroom which I was lucky enough to have to myself. Great shower pressure.

I most definitely respect the hosts’ request to take off shoes at the door . The floors are beautiful and should be treated respectfully. However if you are unsure on your feet I advise not to wear their slip ons. I felt very insecure walking up and down two flights of timber winding stairs. Although the hosts tried to help with what to see in the area, I spent a lot of time finding ways to do it that were more efficient. Just a suggestion to be very knowledgeable about transport systems - not everyone drives everywhere.

The hosts were exceptionally kind and welcoming. The breakfast was very nice and the location was very convenient.

I didn't realize the bathroom was in the corridor and shared. If there had been another guest staying on our floor that might have been unideal because I normally go to the bathroom during the night and so does my son. I am sure this was in the listing and I just didn't think to look for it.

Marie Hélène and Claude make a lot of effort to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that their guests are comfortable and get the most out of their stay. They were helpful providing information before we arrived and gave us suggestions as regards good places to eat out in Melun. We appreciated their kindness, openness and attention to detail, as well as their awareness of the need to protect the environment and the efforts they make in that regard. Their gîte / chambres d’hôte:clean, tastefully furnished and well appointed. The breakfast is good. For those arriving by train … it might be better to avoid walking along the main road to get to the gîte as the quieter streets that run more or less parallel to the main road offer a much pleasanter walk, and the distance is more or less the same.

The bed was very comfy and the window shutters blocked out all light. The 5€ on-site parking was great to have albeit slightly challenging to get in to due to construction surrounding the property location. We stayed for one night, and it was lovely. I would stay again.

We loved the room, plenty of space and comfortable beds. The owners were attentive and helpful. They booked us a restaurant when we arrived to save us trailing round trying to find one with 2 small children in tow.

The information available on booking.com stated that a gluten free breakfast could be provided which is partly why we picked it however during communication with the hosts they said they would be able to provide yogurt and fruit but no bread as they didn't want to make me ill and had no recollection of adding that information to booking.com. I appreciate that and was provided with yogurt and fruit as agreed but feel that the information needs updating as it suggests a more substantial breakfast can be provided

Great two hosts who would stay up to wait for us since our trains to Paris were running late and would prepare a super lovely breakfast as well as great tips about the area. Cute and very clean rooms. Good location for any fans of baroque gardens who will want to visit Vaux-le-Vicomte

I enjoyed the quiet although the house is next to a main street and within the town I liked that many restaurants are accessible within walking distance

family run. They do everything possible to make you feel welcome. Comfortable beds. Lovely bathrooms. Air con works really well breakfast really good with homemade bread and jams. garden that you can use
