Great quiet location, lovely staff that were super helpful. Dood size carparks and both covered and uncovered options plus a spare lot next door if you have a big trailer or extra long vehicle. Bigger room than expected and great hot shower with good water pressure. Close to food options but far enough away from the pubs to be quiet. Perfect place to stop going from teh coast out west or back.

The entrance has a roof that only 1.8m which is too low for many 4WDs out west. That said they have a way for you to drive around the back and in. Just make sure you let them know when you book that you have an extra tall vehicle so they allocate you a room with an uncovered carpark so you can still park in front of your room.

Great location and very quiet. A15 minute walk to the hot pools. Fantastic beds and voluminous shower. This is an older motel with solid brick walls and no noise from adjoining guests. There is a nice pool area although we stayed in winter and didn't use it.

The main exterior door to the unit had very little soundproofing so any early departing guests woke everybody else. There were a group of motorcycle enthusiasts who took forever to depart.

The bed was comfy, the room was spotless and the shower was nice and roomy. Good air con and it was nice being able to lie in bed and watch tv.

I was a bit taken a back that the property took upon themself to charge my credit card when I stated that I would pay when I got there as I had already brought extra cash for that purpose. Regardless of past experience, assuming the worst of all clientele and charging without asking is a big turn off. We didn't go to the restaurant and ate somewhere else as when I asked about booking to eat there, the answer was well mannered but a little abrupt, so after the issue with the credit card being charged I thought, nope too hard.

We had a very pleasant stay while in St George for a golfing carnival. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent with friendly service and good food. Motel was well located and close to everything required. We used the outdoor area near the pool to play cards during down time.

Would have appreciated a small table and chairs in the room rather than a coffee table. There was enough space for it in the room and it would make eating and playing games much easier.

The motel was everything that you would expect from a country motel. The motel also has a restaurant on site with a very good menu and amazing food, the restaurant/bar was operated by the owners and family - it took “service “ and “friendly” to new heights, truly amazing.

motel room was great, unfortunately for us we arrived over a public holiday so nothing was open to get food. we had to get food from the local BP station.

the fact that nothing was open when we arrived, the motel restaurant was not open the whole time we were there. apart from that we enjoyed our stay.

Great service and very friendly people. Steak for dinner was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Considering New Owners have only been there for 5 days, they are doing a fantastic job. Definitely worth a stop and we will return

Located an easy walk from the town centre, in fact an easy walk from most things including the spectacular riverside walk, grocery stores, cafes and restaurants. no street noise discernable from room.

Advised reception is unattended between 10am to 2pm and fairly rigid on check in time.

We were travelling with a medium sized dog and travelling big kilometers. We really just wanted a comfortable room and bed. There was no restaurant open at the Motel, so we had to go outside to get a meal. Having said that the accommodation was well presented & very comfortable.

Despite accepting our online booking, the Hotel was not happy that we had a dog. Whilst they advertise they are PET FREINDLY, evidently that is only in Summer Months and for longer bookings. So do check the Merino Motor Inn's position regarding pets at the time you are travelling.

Basic room, clean, the bed was very comfortable. Central location.

Other guests were very loud in the morning when leaving (talking loudly), could hear their conversations in our room.
