Wonderful old hotel, under constant repair and renewal (watch the workers using traditional materials and methods!). They go out of their way to be helpful and gracious (the place is also a hotel school, where they teach valuable service skills you'd never learn in the USA). The rooms are comfortable, get an upstairs room with a balcony! Nice views, good food, the kind of place you could sit and watch the world go by with a drink in your hand. 10 stars

Late night parties nearby, kinda noisy but not a dealbreaker

Nature, trees, brazilwood (70 years), birds songs in the morning, large, open spaces, service at reception, luggage handlers, service at the bar (02 award-winning cocktails) and restaurant, at dinner (education and kindness).

Loud party sound on the first day, restricted lunch menu, non-availability of day trips (Paraty, Angra dos Reis, etc.) non-availability of ironing board and cleaning public bathrooms floors.

Charming hotel. Nice colonial architecture and facilities. Nice restaurant and breakfast.

There is too much echo at the halls and the room doors cannot make a good isolation, making the rooms too noisy. For sure a point that can and must be improved.

We always stay at the hotel bela vista while in Volta Redonda . The rooms are spacious and clean.

The renovation is taking a long time to be concluded.

A beautiful construction in a beautiful location. Great food, huge bedroom, huge shower, very high ceiling that gives the sensation you’re in a castle. The staff is awesome. The bar has tasty drinks. This hotel is amazing!

free breakfast is convenient and the large pool is very enjoyable on a hot day.

I loved the pool. The bedroom was also very good and comfortable.

I didn't like that there were a lot of ants in my bedroom, and they attacked my desserts. Another thing is that I found the Saturday lunch menu with little variety. I'd like to have more options to choose.
