Gorgeous hotel and apartments in historic Nardo. Beautiful and large bedroom suites and well-appointed kitchen with interconnecting lounge area. Lovely bathrooms and sunken bath. Private paid parking in covered garage close by was excellent.

We stayed in Winter (early Dec / off peak). The hotel was very quiet, and the restaurant was closed at this time of year. However, we could self-cater and there are plenty of places to eat close by. Note that this apartment is accessed off the main stairwell via the apartments lounge area, which connects the two bedroom suites & kitchen/dining (all lockable). Although the entry door can be closed and locked, the service lift is located within the entry area of this lounge space, so it is not entirely secure or private. This was not clear in the room description. It may be an issue for families with younger children.

The staff are lovely, the service is outstanding and were able to accommodate any queries or requests. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. The communal spaces in the hotel are fabulous and feel very luxurious. Great location close to the city centre.

I struggled to get a good WiFi connection. Very minor but the bathroom was a little tatty in areas and could do with a lick of paint. The drain is raised in the bathroom sink which means a layer of water sits in the basin. Nevertheless would still definitely recommend.

This gorgeous property is located on a quiet street and felt very authentic. The apartment I rented was incredible. With a huge terrace to relax on, a fully equipped kitchen and a ton of space.... I am counting the days until I have the chance to return to Nardo and stay here again. There are no words to describe how stunningly gorgeous the common spaces are, and I am so thankful I got to stay here. The breakfast was perfect and the staff were super responsive and helpful.

The only thing I didn't like, was that I only booked 3 days here. I want to go back for 3 months! I could not fault anything to do with the Relais Monastero Santa Teresa- it was perfect.

We were already excited about our impending stay in Nardo and then the day before our arrival we were contacted by the lovely receptionist offering us a free upgrade. Our excitement heightened. The whole experience was wonderful, we walked into the magical courtyard with its beautiful fountain filled with colourful fish and flanked with giant potted palms we were then welcomed by the friendliest of staff. After checking in and arranging secure parking a stones throw from our room ( a huge bonus!) we were led through a door within a door and through another enchanting courtyard to our accommodation. Well, what can I say!!! We were truly blown away! Modern Roman chic might describe the decor. A blend of ancient grandeur and contemporary design. An interior designers dream. Every modern need considered and cleverly concealed so as not to spoil the flawless space. Possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in filled one side of the room and a fabulous sitting room the other. But wait, I haven't mentioned the bathroom! A small flight of stone steps leads you to this incredible space, the room is vast with the most beautiful stone ceiling but the show stopper is without doubt the huge round bath which dominates the centre of the room, pass me my toga! Everything about the suite is elegant and tasteful, adorned with a perfect combination of vintage and modern furniture, understated yet a feast for the eyes! In addition to all this fabulousness throw in a private garden filled with fragrant flowers, lime trees, majestic palms and a swimming pool. I cannot recommend this experience enough!

Amazing property and outstanding design details.

One would assume that there would be only two apartments (as it states that pool shared with only one other apartment) however it turned out that the owners live above those units and have a terrace there. They had lunch outside once as well as kids playing (which is fine but we were seeking tranquility on our couple getaway). No hairdryer in room and staff didn’t reply until day after saying previous guests must have stoled it.

This was a return visit having stayed two years ago. It still feels special as the accommodation is in a beautifully restored historic building. The location is central, peaceful and quiet. The staff are helpful and friendly.

We felt the bathroom hadn't been maintained to the same standard as the rest of the room. Facilities were great but felt peeling paint and breaks in the walls let down the overall standard. Baked goods at breakfast were not as fresh as they could have been.

Everything was great (probably the best stay we have ever had in Salento!): - the fantastic location in the heart of one of the most beautiful small towns in Apulia, a few steps from the main square - the wonderful historical building renovated with taste and great respect - the stately proportions of our room - the tasty and varied breakfast - the great staff, always smiling and very professional We shall come back!

The palazzo is situated in the historic centre, yet it’s easy to park nearby. The building itself is amazing, especially the interior design. We had a huge room with a lovely balcony overlooking the town. The receptionist was super kind, she introduced us the brief history of the monastery, recommended cafes and restaurants and also made sure to preheat our room since we were traveling with a baby.

No breakfast option in March - but there are several lovely cafes nearby. Also, we had to pay a little bit of extra fee for the crib, which would have been fine, but it was a little bit strange that it depended on the room type wether the baby crib was free of charge or not.

Not enough tables in the room. needed places to work on computer and set things out in room on a table or credenza. Also only a tiny trash bin in the bathroom no place to put trash

The staff and the design of the buildings’ architecture (wow) and again the staff, all very helpful and kind! The buildigs are located at the border of the restricted old city (no cars) therefore easy to reach without walking too far.

If you book you do not know in which building you will be located. (I knew it because I called before checking in) While breakfast is located in the main building only- in the other buildings are more a b&b feeling instead a hôtel. But buildings are all in the same area, you just walk a couple of minutes.
