Upon check-in, staff was very friendly and helpful, offering us the use of wheelchair (at no charge) for husband. The room was very nice, with everything you could imagine, oozing "great hospitality"! The size of the facility was just right and felt "homey" with many interesting and historical items to look at. While there, we ate dinner at Margarita's Restaurant-EXCELLENT food! Gambled a little, cage attendant was very personable and the bartender in the lounge was very friendly.

Would have been nice to have handicap accessible doors. Pushing a wheelchair and opening doors is a little difficult.

It was like a Time Machine. Marilyn everywhere & the SHOWER HEAD was the absolute BEST I’ve ever stayed at any hotel. They have a separate section for the furry friends and def cater to them & that reflects in the stay. Best place to stay in ELY period. A bit more spendy, but worth it. We enjoyed our stay with Baby & 2 Cats.

Everything closes early. I also didn’t like that the gift shop opened at 4 pm because I really wanted to buy crystals but couldn’t. I also wish the machines weren’t so tight in December, but that’s typical at any casino in this month.

We got a flat tire while traveling home from Sat Lake. I stopped for gas and asked the station employees where a mom and 3 teen aged daughters could stay overnight. The recommended this hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted immediately, checked right in, given coupons for free adult drinks or bottled water and a 10% off for the coffee shop inside lobby. Once in the room it was inviting and extremely clean. Rooms are quiet and extremely clean. Couldn’t hear the surrounding rooms. If we’re ever in Ely, NV again we’ll be staying here!

Our stay was perfect!

The room was clean, beds were comfortable, with all the amenities. Laundry facilities on site. Caught up on laundry. But sometimes it’s the small things that make it great. Shower head. Hot water immediately and strong flow. It was awesome! Restaurant was good. One of the best Chile Rellenos I had. Beans too. Enjoyed looking at the hotels eclectic style. Even outside at night was bright with color. Plenty to look at. Wish I had taken some more pictures. Friendly staff. Everyone was nice If I ever go back I will stay there. Only wish gift shop was open.

The pet rooms are exceptional, best I've ever seen in many years of traveling around the U.S. and the world. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable and the restaurant was decent. I've been through Ely many times before and am sad that I haven't stayed here previously, but I definitely will be next time!

They do a really fantastic job all around, so I don't have much to complain about. The restaurant was decent, not the best, but about what you would expect to be found inside of a Casino-Hotel.

We have stayed at this location before and booked it again because of it's character. We like the location, the service in all aspects is wonderful and the rooms are compatible with what the accommodation is charged out at.

Smoking allowed in any building has never been a like for us. It actually limits our time in the casino, as we cannot tolerate smoke for very long.....though there is a non smoking area, smoke is still filtering through.

The room was very comfortable. Especially appreciate the refrigerator when we are traveling. Best of all is the Mexican restaurant at the Prospector. We had a great dinner and breakfast there. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Always a treat to find this combination of a nice hotel and good restaurant when we are traveling long distances.

This hotel and restaurant met all of our expectations. The front desk and restaurant servers were terrific. They were so friendly and attentive to our needs.

I was driving between San Francisco and Denver and needed a place to stay overnight. Ely, Nevada is in the middle of this journey. This is my 2nd time staying at the Prospector Hotel. It's a little bit outside of town and has a spacious area for parking. It also has an onsite restaurant that is very good. I've now stayed here 2 times and really enjoy this hotel.

What a fun and funky little hotel. I am so glad we discovered this gem while visiting nearby Great Basin National Park! The room was large and had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We also loved the on site Mexican restaurant and the gift shop and coffee shop were really great too! All the staff were very friendly and we had a wonderful stay.

Nothing at all

Wonderful on-site restaurant and the room was very clean. Staff is wonderful...I forgot my CPAP machine in the room when I checked out and they were so helpful in contacting me and shipping the machine back home so that I didn't have to drive 2 hours to retrieve it!

The only improvement that I can see is that they need an elevator...stairs were tough on my old knees!
