Beautiful hotel design and bright rooms, great breakfast and warm and welcoming staff. The staff provided great tips regarding what to do around the island and restaurant recommendations. The location was also perfect for all the main sights and nightlife, but our room was completely soundproof despite being on the 1st floor.

I didn’t ask the hotel staff because they are not there at night, but the blue light from the thermostats is very disturbing and lights up the room at night. Would be nice to have no light or a red light or some sort of cover because blue light disrupts sleep. We also found the beds quite soft.

Amazing location! Only 2 min by foot from the sea side, 5min away from Stora target (main square) and all its restaurants. The breakfast buffet is great, with a lot of options, and the personnel was exceptionally warm and welcoming!

Half of the wardrobe is occupied by the safe and the minibar, which means very little shelves space to empty a one-week suitcase. The shower corner was a bit small and after usage, the ground around the toilet (facing the shower) did get quite wet. But these are only details!

The room was very modern with a nice bathroom and rain shower. Great that there are bikes for hire (could be more modern bikes or a lower cost, not great value for money there) and of course the location is amazing right in the center of Visby. Lovely small roof terrace with a great view of the sea at sunset. Will definitely return!

Sounds from the restaurant yard below (music) was a bit annoying even now during low season with no people around. Don't expect this to be quiet during high season or make sure you request a room on the other side of the hotel. Breakfast was of great quality but quite limited in terms of options. For me this was perfect but I guess it could be an issue for others.

Very nice boutique hotel. Our room had no view, but if you can get a room with a view I recommend it! There is a way to go up to the third floor where there is a balcony overlooking the town and the ocean. I went up there to film the sunset. The room was small but comfortable. The bathroom had a small shower, but I liked the heated flooring and towel rack. That was a nice touch! The breakfast was very beautifully presented and was good. Nice variety.

The a/c in the room did not work very well. After 6pm there were no employees in the lobby so if you need anything be sure to ask before 6.

Very friendly, stylish and cozy hotel. Even though we arrived after 18:00 (their closing time) they informed us on time how we get in to the hotel/our room. Breakfast was amazing! Also, you can rent bikes, which I found really cool and practical. In general, very satisfied, the hotel is located on an historical square, and you are close to many other important places (museum, botanical garden, etc).

The location was perfect: a few steps to center of town and the sea. The hotel was lovely and the breakfast excellent!

The a/c didn’t work, the room was small and stuffy, so they gave us a fan. The bed was full size for 2 of us.

The difference between good service and memorably service is attention to detail, a skill the staff here at Kalk hotel has perfectly mastered. Add to the service the aesthetics and location of the hotel and you have yourself a hotel with a big heart in small town.

At first there was a problem because the deluxe room we had initially reserved did not correspond to our expectations as the description given was insufficient. But as we could change to another room everything was fine.

Rooms were a bit cramped and basic- really small shower unit, and no fridge in room.

So cosy hotel, very charming. Very comfortable beds, cleaning rooms, minibar pratico with good choices, breakfast excellent 👌. The staff are amazing, especially Joseph, in the reception.

Sad to live the hotel, I loved everything.
