Nice resort at lake site with spacious rooms with lake view and terrace. Nice open air restaurant. Friendly staff. Good for excursions to Lamanai, the boat picks you up at the hotel. Just be aware that there is nothing else around, the hotel is 6km from Orange Walk Town. Nice to stay there for one night

Listen, if you're looking for 5 star, Mexican Riviera, all inclusive amenities, Orange Walk isn't the place. Maybe stick to Ambergris Caye. But if you want a great Belize experience away from mainstream tourists, Lamanai Hotel is fantastic. Very laid back. Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable. Great view of the lagoon (forget about the "bad smell" reviews, it's a natural lagoon, not a chlorinated pond.) Food was very good. Do yourself a favor and make sure to leave time for the river and ruin tour. Worth every penny and absolutely amazing. Tyrone was a phenomenal guide. They pick you up from the lagoon right at the hotel/restaurant. The trip up river via boat is absolutely beautiful and you get to see so many amazing critters. If you have done Mayan Ruin tours, Lamanai is not to be missed. We were the only group there for the majority of the visit. Tyrone said it can be pretty busy when there is a cruise ship in port, but we lucked out today. All and all, we would definitely come back and stay and do the river/ruin tour again.

Beautiful spot right on the water. Bed was very comfortable, wifi worked well, room was spacious and very clean. Great restaurant and staff was exceptional. I'll be back for sure!

The noise from the highway is noticeable, but the birds drown a lot of it out, and it does make it easy to find.

It was absolutely beautiful here. So peaceful. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They were also great with our children. The food was beautiful. The hand made ice cream is a must!

Seriously under-signed. No sign on the highway. No sign on the driveway. No sign where to park. No sign where to check in. . . . I'm astonished we found the place. Glad we had two beds. The spring mattresses communicated every jostle. And the coils bit my hips.

The staff was amazing. We didnt know what to expect when we first booked but, we were pleasantly surprised by how accommodating and helpful everyone at the hotel was. Do not expect a truly four-star experience but it is a decent hotel at a reasonable price in a good location.

There was no cable

Set in a stunning jungle inlet this hotel was immersed in nature and the room overlooking the inlet was spectacular. The restaurant provided for all needs and the food was gourmet.

There were some troubles with the television but staff went out of their way to assist and fix things.

Everyone was amazing during our stay. Friendly, Helpful, and Cheerful. Food at the restaurant was so very delicious and the ambiance was top notch! Set up a great river tour for us to Lamanai…loved it!
