Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Excellent price for the offer, and ample / safe outdoor parking. I was provided a kettle and tea bags free of charge. Much appreciated!

The room heater did not heat up very well. But bathroom heater was warm.

I just stayed one night in the hotel Enge while travelling from Italy to Germany. I want to point out that the staff was very helpful and friendly. My room was not very spacious but was quiet and of course clean (how could it be different in Switzerland?) and had everything I needed. I had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. And the next morning I had breakfast which was excellent as well.

If there is one little point that could be improved, it's the Wi-Fi.

The most important in a small property, Hotel & Restaurant, is the hand of the owner. Also, like owner of small hotels and turist apartments in Valencia (Spain), I recognice it inmediately. I travel along Europe and outside choosing this kind of business to learn from them

A very lovely hotel, at the outskirts of town. City center is about 15 min by foot.

There was an automatic vent in the bathroom that took a while till it stopped running by itself. It starts once you enter the bathroom and keeps working for 10 min or so after you leave. Not a big deal though.

Every now and again a place surprises you and for us Gasthof Enge falls into this category. Sure the guest reviews were OK, but, the main picture of the property on Booking.com didn't exactly inspire. For those interested, ignore this as the main building pictured basically shows the reception area and parts of the restaurant. The accomodation areas are located around the back and consist of some very spacious, well equiped rooms that are spotlessly clean. And there are also parking spaces right outside each room. The staff at the property are friendly and accomodating. Unfortunately, we were leaving too early the next day to stay for breakfast, but, even without us asking they did provide a very nice food package to take away with us. We also decided to use the restaurant in the evening and the menu/food served up was excellent. They also have a wonderful outdoor garden dining area with a nice little waterfall feature which made for a lovely 'alfresco' eating experience. So, all in all a very nice place to stay.

Room was big and clean. We had all required stuf in the bathroom. Had a comfortable overnight staying. Enjoyed the perfect brekfast.

The hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The room was small but adequate. The location is good with just a 10 minute walk to the oldtown. I arrived on a bicycle and they were very helpful and I was able to keep it in a secure garage.

The room was on the top floor and it was very hot. It would been helpful to have a fan. You can hear the autoroute which is close by when you open the window so there is quite a bit of noise. It was exceptionally hot +30 during my visit so this might have been a unique circumstance.

The staff at this property are all great !!! The service was excellent as well !!! I would definitely send a friend there.

Everything was fine

Excellent service and food in restaurant; room was very new, cozy and comfy. Bus stop next to the place: within few minutes you are taken to downtown Solothurn.

The hotel deserves much more than 2*, as officially stated. Only drag is probably the local separation of hotel lobby/restaurant and rooms. On the other hand you can park your car right in front of your door, as known@US-motels.
