Hotel location is quite convenient, walking distance into town or local train station within a few hundred metres. Hotel is well looked after, very clean. Check-in process was by far the best self check-in I have done (most previous experiences in other places always involve some complication, this was was immediate and simple). Staff were also very friendly when I saw them the next day.

Like with all hotels in the area, there is no air-conditioning. So if you happen to stay there on some very hot days, and you want to leave the window open, and your room is on the street side, then yes there can be a little noise (especially from train going past). However, I managed this fine with ear plugs and still had a good sleep.

It is very convenient for access to Solothurn plus there's a supermarket very close by. Nice touch that there's an area with a kettle, plates and microwave (although I don't speak Swiss German so I'm still not totally sure whether we were meant to use them!) Room was very clean and the check-in process was fairly straight forward. Great off-street parking and, for Solothurn, relatively inexpensive.

Road noise is the obvious negative. It's very close to the road although it's not the cars that disturb you but the trams. They start very early in the morning and sometimes seem to thunder by. There were earplugs in the room and we used them. Took us a minute to work out check-in although definitely not as bad as some negative reviews. As mentioned earlier, the area with the microwave, kettle and tea bags was a little confusing, we weren't sure whether we were having a complimentary cup of tea or taking something we shouldn't be.

The hotel is well situated and provides a good service. There is a local for storing bicycles, which was needed for us. Breakfast was good. The hotel is situated on busy street, but has good sonar insulation.

A good stay. Nothing negative to report.

The hotel is conveniently located in a calm area, with easy reach to public transport. The self-service check in makes things convenient and easy - In particular after hours! Beds are comfortable, the bathrooms have everything you'd need (including a hair dryer). As a little bonus: the hotel's theme being gummy bears, you have some fun things around these; including a gummy bear fortune teller book next to your bed! 😋 🐻 🧸

If you are sensitive to noise, make sure you pick the mountain side only: the street side rooms have a ventilation system, which comes on at night (around 4-5 AM in the morning) and makes a continous humming noise.

impeccably clean, great for 1-2 nights stay (room on the small side). very nice breakfast. close to the city and pleeenty of parking places - for free! Nice personnel and the self-serve “mini-bar” in the foyer.

as visible on the map and stated by others, hotel is located on the tram line. one can hear it a bit - we were on the garden side - but not a major issue and surely the night was super quiet.

Friendly staff, very clean room. Excellent location with a 10 minute walk to the city. The free use of the bicycles was perfect.

We had a room on the road side and it is very noisy. If you stay at the Bären self check in hotel you should choose a room on the other side wich is quieter.
