Perfectly located close to the exit of the motorway the hotel is nice and easy to find. There is a big car park, a play ground for the children with an outside bar and restaurant. Our family room had one double and two single beds - perfect for us. All in all a good place to stay whilst passing through...

The location was perfect for my activities. The staff was exceptional. The friendliness and over and above service was amazing. I loved the 'small town' welcome and feel from the staff.

The food in the restaurant was excellent. The location had a grocery store and other restaurants within walking distance, and when I mean walking distance I mean under 10 minutes.

It was close to a nice hiking spot. Prepare for an advanced hike with good hiking boots. The room had a nice big balcony. The hotel has a great restaurant. Quite pricy though. But it is Switzerland, so you have to count with that. Staff was super friendly. Coffemashine in the room, free coffee and tea was available.

It for sure is the ideal zwischenstopp. After a long road trip this is the perfect place to stop. Staff is friendly. You can park your car safely. It is ideal to relax and fresh up.

Easy to find close to the highway, huge parking lot with free parking. Friendly staff. The family room was spacious. Large grounds with play equipment for children. We didn't try the breakfast (there was a charge), but it looked pretty good.

At least the rooms we were in are a bit dated. It's a very large hotel, and I suspect some have already been renovated.

Very friendly, welcoming, helpful staff, good location and easy to find with plenty of car parking. Quiet room with balcony, spacious and clean. Appreciated the coffee machine and bottles of water. Good food in the restaurant and a Co-Op very close by too.

Good place for an overnight stop - fairly close to the freeway and with its own restaurant. Plenty of free parking space (with many charging stations). The rooms are basic but comfortable. The TV set on the wall is huge by hotel/motel standards. The coffee machine in the room gets you only 2 coffees in the morning (2 espresso capsules), but that's enough to get one started - there's more coffee in the restaurant for breakfast.

The free internet is a bit of a joke. You need to log into the hotel's site, provide telephone number, and then you get an SMS with password. Fine if you only use a mobile phone. If you want internet in your laptop or tablet with no SMS card, than you have no internet in that equipment. Breakfast is fairly limited in choice when you consider that you pay 17 euros for one person, but nothing is cheap in Switzerland... It would be nice to have a small fridge in the room.

Hotel Egerkingen describes itself as a motel - which is true, you can park right outside your room. It is also perfectly positioned close to the motorway, although once arrived it’s quiet and peaceful. In practice, however, it offers everything you could want from a hotel: rooms are clean and well-appointed; there is a spacious restaurant, offering good value buffet or alternatively an a la carte menu; there is also a play area for children to let off steam after (in our case) several hours in the car. In short, we thoroughly recommend - we ourselves will certainly return in the future.
