Chose Zofingen as a base for exploring a few places and Christmas markets in the area. (Zofingen's market was opening the day after my stay. Highly recommend Bremgarten's market, a 25 minute train ride away.) Single room shown on website was a corner room that was a bit larger than my room, but my room was comfortable enough. Very friendly staff who spoke a bit of English and patiently worked with my butchered High German. Comfortable bed, nice quiet location, desk and wardrobe provided and enough outlets for charging electronics. Breakfast was typical for area with cold cuts, cheeses, fresh bread (yum!), jogurts & cereals. Enjoyed a bowl of soup at the restaurant one afternoon that was delicious. Zofingen's Aldstadt was very enjoyable. Bus stop was directly across the street and two stops from the train station (which was also an easy 8 minute walk away). Would choose this location again all things considered.

This is a pleasant traditional hotel, run by a friendly family. The breakfast is basic, but OK; the bread is very good. Few vegetarian options available, but when we asked for cheese, some was eventually produced.

No coffee facilities in the room or the hallway. Starting time for breakfast (perhaps because it was a Sunday) was 8am, which is on the late side for travellers. The place is expensive for what you get, but given the prices in Switzerland, probably not exceptionally high.

The location was perfect for a stop off on our journey back to the UK. The hotel room and facilities were clean, modern and much better than the UK for anything like a similar price - superb. The staff were friendly, spoke excellent English and really knew how to deliver a quality service. We ate in the hotel and our food was as good as anything we had experienced during nearly a month away. A first class experience - very lucky to have found the place. Would not hesitate to use again or to recommend.

We had a nice meal in the restaurant. The parking. The convenience of the location on our stop off on the way into Switzerland.

The hotel looks like it is undergoing some renovations and the room was a bit basic but it wasn't a problem.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Restaurant food was excellent. The family that owns the hotel and restaurant are very nice and take great pride in providing quality service and food.

No air conditioning in the room which requires sleeping with open windows next to the main road during warm days.

Looked a bit old from the outside, but was very « new » from the inside… and very nice chamber. And it has a really large parking. The restaurant (italian) below was very good.

Nice, clean room and good breakfast! And perfect to visit Zofingen, a beautiful city to make a stop !

no airco in the room. normally in Switzerland you don’t need one. but when we passed by we had the luck to have 30*, and it was warm in the room to sleep. but the room was very nice and very good quality!

The proper Italian restaurant associated with the hotel was an unexpected bonus, and it alone was worth the trip, not to mention the Roman mosaics accessible for viewing in the quiet cul-de-sac above the hotel.

Excellent staff, very helpful. Rooms are very spacious and clean; lovely shower. We dined outside, in their excellent restaurant Da Vito: very good food!
