I booked it specifically because it's right next to the train station. The bedding was comfortable, the room was clean, the shower was good, electric blinds and a balcony you could sit out on. Daily room service was excellent and the reception staff were very helpful when I asked for an extra pillow or a fork (to eat my salad I bought elsewhere!).

The room had no tea or coffee making facilities. The floor was hardwood not carpet, so could be noisy and it showed up dirt - not sure if room service did any floor sweeping or cleaning but it wasn't obvious. Lift was slow and when you had a lot of people wanting to use it, it caused a bottleneck in reception.

Because of the heat (always between 30 and 35 Centigrade during our stay at the hotel), we were given a free upgrade to a superior room with air con. There was a Nespresso machine in the room with a few pods.

They changed the towels every day, even though we did not ask for this - every other day would have been plenty good and helped the environment. they did not supply tea at all in the rooms - just coffee. So we had to go down to the restaurant where we had breakfast and get a few English Breakfast tea bags for my husband who does not drink coffee.

Close to bahnhof but still quiet with the windows shut. Easy to find and access. Nice large room, if a little basic (no fridge, but nice sofa).

It was all done online with a WhatsApp linn to open the door of the room! All very random, but meant there was no human interaction at all, so I gave the staff a good rating, but I never came into contact with any Also you have no control over the heating (it is cold March evenings). Seems to be done centrally so I kept window open until I went to bed in order to keep room cool.

Fabulous breakfast, handy location if travelling round Switzerland by train. Although the station is right by the hotel, the blinds and thick glazing meant that noise was not a problem

Expensive, but that could be a standard price for an expensive country. We didn’t realise that Swiss plugs are different to other EU ones but the reception lend us two adapters. Photo shows what’s needed.

The double room was large, with comfortable beds and a big bathroom. The single room was a bit weirdly laid out.

That night, we came back to the hotel at the same time as a large tour group was checking in. The queue for the only lift was very long, so we decided to take the stairs, even though our room was on the 5th floor. We arrived at the 4th floor to see that the stairs stopped there: dammit, our room was in the South wing, and there's no connection between the North and South, except through the lift… Too tired to go back down and up again, we called the lift (even though the only available button is to go down). Because it was very busy, we waited at least 5-10 minutes for it to come up to the 4th floor. We went it and pushed the button to go to the 5th floor, but it started to go down! We stopped at the 3rd floor and went back up the stairs, on the correct side, this time!

Firstly, staff were very welcoming, cheerful and helpful. The room looked better in person than on the photos. Loved the AC and jacuzzii. The room was very clean, and plenty of toiletries were provided. Breakfast was great, very good food, and constantly refilled for guests. Would definitely recommend it to others.

A fridge in the room would be helpful, but they did provide an ice bucket as an alternative.

We stayed at Amaris Hotel for 3 nights and 4 days in a family room, and our experience was absolutely fantastic. The hotel staff was incredibly polite and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The service was one of the best I've ever experienced, and the hotel excelled in cleanliness and comfort. I would definitely choose this hotel again without hesitation. A special thanks to Pascal and the entire hotel staff for their exceptional hospitality.

Love the location very near to SBB train statio. Room is spacious enough to open luggage and bed is very comfortable. Staff on duty very friendly. There are 2 restaurants nearby,1 Swiss and 1 Italian and the staff is very helpful to help us make reservation for the restaurant. Will come back to stay here if I'm visiting Olten in the future.

I had a room overlooking the railway tracks which for a railway enthusiast like me was marvellous. I had only one breakfast due to schedule issues and it was very good.

The only problem I encountered was that the shower has one of those annoying modern fittings whereby one has no clue whether to turn the left or the right bit clockwise or anticlockwise and so there is a risk of scalding oneself. I come across these in many hotels and hate them. Why no 'H' and 'C' or Blue and Red signs? Grrrr. Plus of course one is for the top and one for the side shower head but how is one to know?

Very smooth online check-in after last minute booking same evening. Access to hotel and room via online tool with virtual key to open front doors and room. Very clean and convenient „comfort room“.

All good in the context of a perfectly located hotel just a few meters away from a central train station. Downside: view is either railroads or parking lot. Details: only one standard pillow, no extras in bathroom, door not really soundproof.
