Close to train station, river Rhine and a short walk over the bridge into Germany. Staff were friendly and helpful .

Fitness room was very small and hot but I appreciated they did have this facility. There wasn’t really enough space for more than 1 person. They did have lots of space for various physiotherapy rooms that didn’t appear to be in use and another studio room so perhaps they could move into larger area.

The hotel is visually pleasing, well finished, and luxurious. The room was as well. Everything throughout the hotel and the room was extremely clean and in superb condition. The bathroom was modern and water was hot. The bed was confortable. The heating in the room can be adjusted to your liking, and it worked exceptionally well (temp outside was 0 C in the night). The location is great - near the train station and a few meters into the city center. Staff was professional and friendly.

Over the course of several nights at the hotel, I occassionally heard (probably 2 times) some noise from neighboring rooms. But it was tolerable, and very minimal. Never had any problems at night as there was never any noise that I observed in the evenings or while sleeping. My room had a very small desk and reasonable chair for working - but was not the most comfortable working space, but was still tolerable. Water pressure in shower is "eco" and therefore don't expect high-pressure shower. Still the shower is very adequate, modern, spacious, and clean.

Close to Basel by train, a very convenient oasis away from the heat, hustle and bustle of the city. Excellent rooms, efficient but friendly staff with old-world manners, a lovely setting amongst mature trees, and a delicious dinner outside in the cool of a summer’s evening. It was a pleasure to stay here.

Our only quibble would be to make the bath towels a little larger and softer.

Lighting in the room was minimalistic. No mirror over dressing table There were only two couples in the hotel during our weekend and they placed us in a room overlooking the railway station and Conference Centre. That weekend was the start of the February Carnival and drumming, saxaphone and trumpet sounds went on until 2:00am!!

Nice terrace outside for a lovely diner in the evening. Food was god, staff friendly.

It was very hot outside (over 30 degrees) and the hotel does not have air conditioning..

The staff were excellent and the hotel very clean and well decorated. This is a good value for the price.

I wish the room was a bit larger but it was fine for a single guest.

Breakfast was good. Decor was good. Nice paintings of Rheinfelden and nicely colour coordinated. Staff very freindly and helpful.
