GREAT Aircon!! And I mean the best we had in 2 weeks touring. Stayed here before and came again for the proper aircon you struggle to find just about everywhere in this heat. It’s worth an extra £40 a night to me just for that when it’s 35’ outside! Good Chinese buffet downstairs. Good restaurants close by in the old town (particularly Rest Galica). Parked motorcycles around the back, quiet and secure but underground parking available. Rooms decent size and clean. Easy walk to old town or a bit longer over the footbridge to old town Swiss side. Good base for Basel and for lower Black Forest. Breakfast reasonable. Bar is at the buffet, or close across the road, also a shop with cheap beer to bring back. Some tables to sit out front or back. Been a few times and will go again. Tidy place and good value. Did I mention that brilliant aircon? 😂

The hotel was clean. Rooms were new and clean. AC worked perfectly. Breakfast was good. Secure Parking in hotel's underground car park behind the hotel. Cost €10

No kettle or coffee machine in the room. Reception told me that there wasn't much in the way of restaurants and bars in the area. However, we found several nice barsl in the small streets opposite and had a lovely meal in the Steak, Pasta, Pizza restaurant 3 minutes from the hotel.

Rooms were really well cleaned. Bed was extremely comfortable with proper hotel sheets (unlike many hotels in Basel area that use these stretch-on junk). Pillow was firm and thick so good thing if you're into that. Shower had good water pressure. Overall really nice experience and absolutely worth the money.

Rooms are not that well sound-proofed, but for 3 stars I can't complain. However at night it's really quiet anyway, so not really a problem. A/C was also a bit noisy at times so you might want to turn it off for the night. Do note that the room has no minibar.

It was in a good location for our trip. There were shops and bars close by. The hotel had a Chinese restaurant, which was buffet style plenty to choose from.They had a car park at the back. The bed was comfortable. There was a fire escape outside the window. The breakfast was good, plenty to choose from.

You couldn’t get a drink when you arrived until the restaurant opened. The shower screen wasn’t clean.

Been here before, like the location near both countries and near the spa across the river (which I highly recommend). Quality room, very quiet and secure. Breakfast is a large buffet and very good. Didn’t try the advertised dinner buffet so can’t comment on that.

I’ve stayed here before and am always happy. Very quiet but it was off season too. Great breakfast; lots of selection. Friendly staff. Room was very clean. Will stay again in the future. Easy walk across the river into Switzerland and to visit the large spa in Rheinfelden. They have a big buffet for dinner but I’ve never tried it so can’t comment.

would have been nice to have proper soap by the sink instead of washing hands with shower gel. There was a problem with the shower in room 42 - water was getting out of the shower cubicle by the sink.

The hotel is very pretty and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. Plenty of parking. Air conditioning was the best of any hotel we stayed in in Germany and Switzerland. I understand this hotel has been through many owners that failed. I believe this time they will be successful. There is a Chinese buffet on the property.

Lovely hotel, the photos do not do it justice. Central location with plenty of secure parking, especially important for our motorcycle. The room was clean, very modern and the Airconditionong in 30+ heat was very welcome. The breakfast was the best we have had for our 14 days trip around Europe. Cereal, bacon, sausage and eggs, cold buffet, crossiants and lots of other choices including fresh fruit and cake. I would higher recommend this hotel. Quite a few places to eat and have a few drinks in the centre too. The restaurant looked.lovely but we did not choose to eat here as we were not hungry at time of arrival.

Nothing to not like about this hotel.
