An Exceptional & Heartfelt Experience! We recently stayed at Cent Kottage by Little England Cottage, Nuwara Eliya, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality.Nalaka, the manager, is an absolute gentleman — kind, supportive, and attentive to every detail. Prasanna, the chef, treated us to the most delicious meals throughout our stay, and Shashi Kumar, the cleaner, ensured the cottage remained peaceful, clean, and perfectly comfortable for our stay.What truly touched our hearts was the surprise breakfast arrangement on our 8th wedding anniversary — a beautiful flower bouquet with a “Congratulations” tag. It was such a thoughtful gesture that brought tears to my eyes.This stay became one of the most unforgettable experiences in our lives. We highly recommend Cent Kottage to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya. Thank you to the wonderful team for making our special day truly magical!

Kent cottage was absolutely lovely and well maintained. The loft suite we stayed in was nothing short of amazing in terms of comfort, coziness, facilities, and the overall vibe. The games room (part of the suite) contains a foosball table (this will definitely keep two occupied for quite a while 👌), Jenga, Monopoly, carrom, and the tv with bean bags. Perfect for a movie night. The jacuzzi is quite large and is definitely a must try. The warm water in the cold weather is pure bliss. Nalaka made sure all our needs are met and was very helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Would definitely recommend Kent Cottage for anyone looking for a cozy stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Kent cottage was absolutely stunning. It felt surreal, I’m from England and live cottages and it felt like I was in England. The host Nalaka was so nice and kind and I honestly have never felt that well looked after. He made us feel so welcome and catered to all our needs. The cook was also awesome, we messaged Nalaka on the day of arrival and asked if dinner could be cooked for us, he shared the menu and also offered an alternative (devilled chicken) honestly it was a absolutely delicious meal. Each day for breakfast we were asked night before if we wanted English or Sri Lankan breakfast and it was all ready by time we came down. I would highly recommend Kent cottage. We had the room with the free standing bath tub it was such a big and beautiful room and bathroom

The property was beautiful, idyllic and perfect for a vacation. The property manager Nalaka and his team were outstanding and made every effort to make our stay comfortable ! They made us tea through the day and we had a wonderful time having our breakfast in the cute garden. The place has a lot of charm and I’d strongly recommend it!

Given that it’s usually cold in Nuwara Eliya, the place does not have air conditioning. It can get a little stuffy in the rooms. When requested they did provide a small fan but it was not effective for the large room.

Best thing about this place is its unique architecture. Even though there are several other places like this among little England cottages the Kent Cottage us exceptional in terms of how it looks and and how well maintained it is. We stayed at the Kings suite with jaccuzi and it was cosy and spacious. There were some remnanats of a ship to decorate inside. Living area had games books and tv to spend time with a fabulous view from each and every window. Also its caretakers specially Mr. Nalaka is a nice gentlemen and served us well. Can be recommended to anyone without a doubt.

The inside atmosphere of the property is excellent. The rooms we booked were quite big especially the family room with jacuzzi where we had a pleasant family chat together. There is also a tabletop football game to keep the children busy. Though the breakfast was of fixed menu, the quality and amout of the English breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly. The neighborhood is pleasant with an English atmosphere. The property and the other nearby properties are enclosed within a boundary wall with a big entrance gate guarded by security personnel. There is a good restaurant at a nearby property for dining out.

Though the breakfast was excellent, the property encourages to have lunch or dinner elsewhere. The cleanliness of the property was good, but the toilets and rooms are showing signs of getting old and damages. The property shall probably need a refurbishment in near future. The family room where we stayed was in the attic. It felt that cold air was leaking in from outside at night that was not particularly comfortable. The hot water system does not work after mid-night till the morning.

Kent Cottage is the best looking cottage inside of Little England. From the first moment, we were impressed by the architecture and interior design. The room was well decorated with a lot of small details. Staff was extremely kind and helpful that they gave us a lot of information about the area, city, region and the country. Breakfast was also delicious. Absolutely it was a great stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay because of the wonderful staff, amazing food, and the beautiful setting. Nalaka and his team are very friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. The food was among the best we had in Sri Lanka.Both their Sri Lankan dishes and the English breakfast were wonderful. The king suite was spacious, clean, and well equipped with lots of board games, books, and plenty of complimentary bottled water. We hope to come back when we are in Nuwara Eliya next time.

We originally booked two nights at Kent Cottage… but ended up staying a third because we adored it so much! Once again, Nalaka and the team made us feel like family—their hospitality is unmatched. The rooms are cozy, the garden is lush, and the location is ideal for exploring Nuwara Eliya’s hikes and waterfalls. Nalaka even shared great local tips. After three stays here, we can confidently say: This is THE guesthouse in Nuwara Eliya for genuine care and a homey vibe. Thank you, Nalaka!

This charming little cottage lays in a gated community little outside of Nuwara Eliyah city Centre. Little England seems like a theme park and looks even a bit surreal in the middle of tea fields and farmers. The staff at Kent Cottage was super nice and friendly, helping out with anything you need during your stay. The breakfast was amazing and with good weather you can have breakfast in the neat little garden outside the cottage.

The rooms are sweet but need a little bit of renovation and repairing due to aging. WLAN unfortunately did not work during our stay.
