The bar area was a fabulous space to relax with a roaring fire to keep you warm The staff were super friendly and helpful - giving very useful tips on how to keep hands and feet warm as the temperatures hit -30! They were also so polite and made our stay very enjoyable. Although the room was small, the beds were incredibly comfortable and the en-suite shower was great - a hot shower after coming in from the cold was a welcome activity! The food in the dining room was delicious - we ate there every night during our stay. The location of the hotel is superb - right on the edge of Abisko National Park, with beautiful views. It also had a helipad view point which gave an outstanding position to watch the Northern Lights play!

The menu in the dining room didn’t change during our visit which meant repeat meals. This was a minor issue though as the food was delicious so repeat meals wasn’t really a problem.

The location is stunning, the dinner in the restaurant was memorable. Breakfast was ok. It’s a perfect place to stay if you’re going to do winter sports and don’t care too much about the room you’re staying in. The staff are very nice and helpful. Easy access to all types of activities with a helicopter pad nearby as well as snowmobiles.

The rooms are very small, not really meant for regular tourists with suitcases. No space to store things. The bathroom is just functional, but that’s it. It was difficult to get the heating right in the room, it was either too warm or too cold, and the radiator thermostat in our room was hidden behind one of the beds. Also, the water pressure drops drastically for an hour in the morning, which made it difficult to shower, etc. ( this is mentioned in the info book in each room, we just didn’t see it!).

Abisko mountain Lodge is fabulous,the food Dinner and Breakfast was just fantastic,the crisp bread, salted butter little leather napkin holders,cute wooden butter knifes,all these little details make the mountain lodge a very special place,you are right on the doorstep of Abisko national park,great activities can be organised ,there is a lovely atmosphere in this place the staff are lovely and very friendly and what seems so nice is watching staff have fun and banter amongst them selves and with the guests,this says alot about management looking after its staff as well as guests.the tour guides all seem to have a good relationship with the lodge again a great asset to each other,big fire pit out side,gorgeous warm fire inside so cosy

Its only a small thing but there is no tea coffee making facility in the rooms you can buy tea and coffee at reception but tea and coffee is something that's nearly a given in most hotels today

Excellent location, short walk from the Abisko Östra train station (but then again, everything is near the station). The staff were excellent. They all do a bit of everything including managing the hotel, the bar, and restaurant. They knew which room I was in after a couple interactions and I could ask them to charge the food/drinks I bought to my room. They were really friendly and answered my million questions with a smile. The attached restaurant is also excellent. They have no reason to be, as they are one of the few (if not the only) restaurants in the vicinity, but it ended up being some of the best food I’ve eaten recently. If you book tours, a lot of them begin in the lodge parking lot or they will pick you up from the lodge.

Everything was incredible, from start to finish. Booking on the website was easy and there's so much information there. I appreciated the follow-up emails with important information. The staff-EVERYONE--were so helpful and friendly. I had fantastic interactions with everyone. It was so nice to be able to use the sauna outside of the hours of 16;00-19:00. THANK YOU for setting it up just for me at 13:00! What a treat.

There's virtually nothing I didn't like, but the one thing to potentially improve is to provide more visibility about the winter clothing rental option. Maybe I missed that on the website? It came as a pleasant surprise when the check-in staff member informed us that it was an option when we were trying to figure out how to get to the Turistation. We ended up walking to Abisko Turistation after our taxi ride fell through on the day we needed it and the rented clothes saved the day!

Good quality breakfast with lots of options is included with stay. Dinner requires reservation, so book in advance. Dinner is extremely good quality for the price, and an excellent value. Lodge is close (but not too close) to a small grocery store so you can grab anything you may need very easily. Room is very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Keep in mind, this lodge is located in a national park so it isn't going to be the Ritz... but it is great just how it is. Lodge is close to everything you want to do. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

Rooms and hallway floors are raised enough that when people walk in the hall, you can hear their footsteps and some squeaks in your room. Nothing a white noise app running on a cell phone didn't fix.

Fantastic location (obviously!) - super friendly and really helpful staff. The dining room/restaurant was excellent, we had a fantastic meal of local produce prepared to a superb standard - breakfast is also great. Feels like a super chilled place to stay, easy to relax in, and also has a well stocked shop with outdoor items (inc freeze-dried meals, clothes, etc), ideal for people like us who were about to go hiking, to grab a few last minutes bits and pieces. Room we stayed in was fairly small and quite basic (just twin beds, bit of storage and a shower room/toilet) - but it was warm and comfortable and exactly what we expected - it is clear from the booking details and photos what sort of room you will be getting, so no surprises. Would definitely stay there again without any doubt if returning to the area

Location great, cabin small but comfortable and it suited our family group of 3 to have our own string areas rather than using the communal lounge of the lodge. Restaurant food choices and service excellent.

The ice on the pathways, both in the carpark area and the walkways to the cabin. We were advised by staff it was treacherous and to take care but I would like to have seen much more gravel/sand put down to assist people walking.

We booked a cottage and it was so so lovely! Kitchen was super clean and had everything you need to cook a meal (there is also a supermarket nearby), the couches were comfortable, bathroom was also clean and the beds were cosy and comfy! There were electrical heaters in the rooms which were more than sufficient to heat the cottage and it had a nice little terrace. Use of the sauna and showers was also very nice, it was clean and well arranged. We had the breakfast in the main hotel and it was very good, with a great arrangement of food and drinks. After we had to check out we only had a train a few hours later but we were welcome to stay in the lounge area of the hotel, which was very comfortable and had some games! I will definitely come back here!

The only thing that could be a bit of a downside is that you need to clean the cottage yourself. But they provide all cleaning supplies so this makes it very easy and quick to do.
