We loved the vibe of this place and the way it looked. Our room was nice and even though there are some holes in the wall, no geckos or insects got in,which we loved. The breakfast was delicious. All of the spaces were super clean!

While there is so much space to relax,most of the time it was occupied by the employees, so we couldn't use it often (especially the indoor spaces), which was a shame. The stuff was overwhelming for us. Some people might appreciate having someone asking them all the time how did they sleep,how are they doing or what their plans are. But not us, so it was a bit exhausting all the small talk. P.S. Beds were very soft.

Snooze is a home stay hostel. And that is how it felt, like coming come. When we arrived the amazing girls greeted us with so much enthusiasm and love. We got some coffee and a hostel tour. During the tour someone else brought our heavy backpacks to our rooms. Inside the hostel they have amazing breakfast with fresh fruit, which is being made for you by their chef. They also make their own ice cubes so no worries about that while ordering an ice coffee. Everything is so clean; the rooms, toilet, shower (which is cold but we loved it after a hot day), kitchen and living room. They even have an amazing jungle garden. All the girls are so personal and love to make a chit chat with you. After a day in Yogyakarta coming back in the hostel feels like coming home again. “How was your day, did you enjoyed it, what did you do? Do you want some coffee?” Loved that! Besides this we got to travel with the hostel driver: Imam. He drove us to Borobudur and Prambanan. It was an amazing day, Imam is amazing. We learned and laughed a lot with him. After the day he felt like a good friend. Would recommend everyone to drive with Imam for the day. Ask the reception if he is available and you will have a lovely day.

Nice communial areas to sit and have breakfast or chill. Also good room with all nessecaties. The breakfast was amazing and you always had options or take out a breakfast box, laundry service is also available and fast. Everytime you came in the ladys at the reception welcomed you and offered you a free drink which was very refreshing. There was good information on things to do and loved the transportation service to the tempels that they offered. Always good advice on where to eat. Check out foreignerstreet! and they really care about you having a good stay. Felt like home!

That some doors al very low. I bumbed my head twice. there was only one sink at the 2 showers and there was a hook missing for your toiletry bag or towel. Meeting solo travelers was not always easy beacuse there is only one bunkbed room.

Snooze is such a great hostel, with fantastic facilities, very cleaned shared bathrooms, aesthetically pleasing rooms, calming outdoor sitting areas. Great location in city central area, walking distance to the busy streets. The breakfasts provided are amazing, they’d even prepare you a breakfast takeaway box if you need to leave early. All the guests that stayed there are all respectful and quiet, but everyone’s up for a chat if you’re keen. Remember to chat more with the hostel staff, most of them are young local females that are passionate in learning and practising English. They genuinely care about your day and your trip:)

Wifi connection is weak in general, especially in the rooms and bathrooms. You need to be in the common area to have better signal.

The best hostel I’ve ever stayed at – and I’ve stayed at many! I’ve traveled a lot in my life – through Latin America, Europe, and Asia, often on long-term trips. I’ve seen countless hostels along the way, but Nooze Hostel has been by far the best I’ve ever stayed in – for several reasons. First of all, the building itself is simply beautiful: welcoming, cozy, and exceptionally well-designed, with so many thoughtful little details. What I especially loved is the natural sunlight that fills the space – it creates such a warm and calming atmosphere. And despite being in the heart of Yogyakarta, it’s wonderfully quiet, tucked away in a small side street with no traffic noise at all. The location is perfect: just a short walk to the city’s main attractions – the Palace, the Water Castle, and the most famous museums. Even the lively Malioboro Street is only a few minutes away, but you’re not right in the middle of the hustle. But what truly sets Nooze apart is the team. It was hands down the most attentive, friendly, and helpful staff I’ve ever experienced in a hostel. They took the time to help me with personalized recommendations – not just generic tips, but advice based on what I was actually interested in. They also supported me with booking transport and anything else I needed for my journey. On top of that, they were always up for a warm chat – always smiling. I really hope the owner knows what a strong team she/he has. And even though I didn’t meet her/him personally, it’s obvious that someone put a lot of heart and care into creating a truly exceptional experience. The level of detail is just incredible. I’ll definitely be coming back – and I can recommend Nooze Hostel from the bottom of my heart.

Very good place to stay, beds were clean and the whole place was very well maintained from bathrooms, living areas and kitchen. Staff was very hospitable and kind, they were very helpful. I did a couple of tours from there which proved to be quite good as well. For Jomblang cave and trip to Mt.Bromo.(discovered thanks to posters at their hostel :))

There were some snags on the trip to Ijen, these things happen but I would have preferred hotel staff to communicate clearly on the plan. But overall it was a good stay and its a minor snag in what was a great experience overall.

The Snooze is definitely a very good place to get to know Yogyakarta. You can do most things by foot. The women in the Snooze are wonderful, they are so helpful and friendly, I never had problems to ask them. The garden was great to have breakfast there and even to be there during the day. There’s only missing a hammock…😉 The breakfast was also very good and we really enjoyed our stay there.

Sooner or later it would be great, if the mattresses got changed, they are already a little too soft.

I loved everything!!!! The staff are so wonderful and friendly and helpful. The hostel itself is so incredibly clean, despite sharing bathrooms & showers they are kept so clean that you don’t realise other people even use them. The room was spotlessly clean as well and really cosy & comfy in the dorm room. The breakfast is excellent and there are lots of places to sit and chill out and chat to other travellers. Location is really nice in a quiet, well presented area and nearby to lots of museums.

Nothing :) Only suggestion would be to maybe create a WhatsApp group so guests can see if anyone else wants to join them on the tours

Loved everything, the staff were so friendly and everything was super clean and comfortable, would for sure reccomend this place!!

Only down side is the staff helped me book my train to the airport (which was very helpful), but even after checking it was a domestic flight they still sent me to the wrong airport (also my fault for not triple checking) and I nearly missed my flight and it cost me a lot of money to get back to the other airport, that was only 30 mins from the hostel 😭 was so stressful. But other than that can't fault anything and that was partially / fully my fault!!

Our stay at Snooze, a beautiful homestay in Yogyakarta was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome—every member of the staff was just AMAZING! They went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. The warm welcome was only the beginning, as we were offered refreshing drinks constantly, which was a lovely touch, especially in the tropical heat. The breakfast each morning was a real highlight. It was clear that it was cooked with love, full of delicious, local flavors that made us feel right at home. The place itself feels enchanted, surrounded by lush greenery, with plants that are so well looked after it adds to the serene, natural atmosphere. Everywhere we looked was impeccably clean and organized, showing how much care the team puts into maintaining this wonderful space. Admittedly, I was a bit unsure about the “no hot water” situation at first, but it turned out to be quite refreshing and actually ideal given the warm climate in Indonesia. After a day out exploring, the cool water was surprisingly comforting! A big thank you to the whole team for their warmth, kindness, and attention to detail. We truly felt like part of the family here, and we hope to perhaps come back soon to relive this wonderful experience.

I honestly liked the whole thing, the scenery, the location, the staff, the food and everything.
