My stay here was so serene and absolutely lovely. The cabin was beautiful, clean and had all the amenities I needed. Having a seat outside wrapped in a blanket and watching the horses was incredible and it was so peaceful and quiet outside. I also enjoyed the family style dinners, the menus changed. Breakfast was simple but good. If you are not out on the wine tours and want lunch, there is a lovely restaurant at the bottom of the hill. Loved the charming fire place. Keep in mind this is a very dirt/rocky and hilly road. Be ready for a bumpy ride for the last 30-40min before you arrive.

The only reason I'm not giving a 10 is because the cabin was very cold inside. I'm fully aware I went in winter but was not expecting winter feel inside of the cabin. There is one heater in the bedroom that barely heats up the room and the light is so bright on the heater machine that it interrupted my sleep. To be fair, there is also a fireplace with wood , matchsticks and gas you can use to light/make a fire. I just had a problem with keeping it burning. Also, opening the bathroom door was very awkward as it created a very tight space.

Amazing hotel, great view and very polite staff. Probably the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in and I don't think there are any other hotels in mendoza that have a view that comes close to this one. All staff try to be as helpful as possible and this makes a big difference. The food was very good as every night they invited a different cheff to prepair the dinner.

Only thing is that they don't serve lunch. We wanted to have a free day to enjoy the hotel and we had to eat in a nearby restaurant. Not a problem if it is opened, but check the dates as they are closed once a week.

The views are incredible and the staff are great, but the hotel is in a very remote area so the roads to the hotels and the internet were terrible. We ended up missing our flight because it rained and the roads flooded and couldn’t use the internet for most of our stay. We also found the drinks, food and wine to be quite expensive compared to other hotels in the area. Rooms are lovely and the views are beautiful. Staff is super friendly and accommodating.

Amazing place, with all the comforts whilst communing with Nature's magnificence. The view of the valley and the Andes range is incredible. You see Tupungato and Aconcagua, this last one better than from the Aconcagua Park. Just sitting there, hearing the silence, relaxing and reflecting is worth the trip. We disconnected completely from the toxicity of politics back home and its foreboding prospects; we needed this. We'll make it a family reunion spot in the future.

The hotel is perfect for 1 or 2 nights. If you plan to stay more days, I suggest picking another hotel because the rooms are small, and the location is 1 hour from the bodegas. I suggest staying 1 or 2 days relaxing at the hotel and enjoying the beautiful view! I love the lounge, the food, and the guests sit together for breakfast and dinner. It is a fantastic place!!!!

The internet was not working. I tried to work from there, but it was not possible. It's not a good option for working remotely. Go to relax, and you will be ok!

Let’s start with the views! From waking up every morning to see the snow capped Andes from our bedroom window to enjoying that same view over breakfast and finally watching the sun set over the volcano before dinner was truly spectacular. The staff were amazing and a big shoutout to Felipe the owner who made us feel part of the family. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed sitting down at the big table and getting to know all the other guests - a really great concept.

Nothing it was perfect

Our entire experience at this hotel was amazing. We felt like family the minute we entered the hotel. The staff were amazing and everything about the hotel impressed us. The rooms were beautifully done, down to every detail. The views of the mountains were breathtaking. The wine and food and friendship made for an absolutely perfect three days. They helped us organize tours of the bodegas and welcomed us back home with a toasty fire. We would visit again in a heartbeat.

We loved everything, but the hotel is pretty remote. We rented a car and didn't realize how tough the drive would on unpaved roads and up a mountain! Be prepared, especially if you get stuck in an unexpected snow storm like we did.

We spent four nights here for our honeymoon to enjoy the Uco Valley. Very very very strong recommendation.  The room and setting is idyllic. It is a little hard to get to, but we didn’t have any serious problems in a compact car just taking it slowly on the final 16km of the road before the place.  We did hire a driver/guide (Damien from Vistalba Wine Tours) for two of the days so didn’t push the compact rental car too too much.  Also, given how remote hotel de cielo is, you’ll want to eat dinner at the hotel, but the wonderful news is that the dinner is fantastic and it’s not at all crazy-priced. It was usually a three course meal and, in our four nights, we had asado/salmon/pork rib/filet mignon as the mains. All were superb.  Marcos is a wonderful host, and his son, Lucas, was also very accommodating.  Much more than the vibe we got from some of the other hotels when considering where to stay, this place follows through on providing a personal experience. We were two of 12-20 people each night, and it felt like we were a part of the place - i.e., it wasn’t just a place to sleep.  Also, just in a general design sense, they cut zero corners - every piece of furniture was perfectly chosen and the layout of the buildings and the content within them is beautifully balanced.  We did have some confusion about where to exchange money at one point (they can’t exchange money there), but it was not difficult to exchange elsewhere.  On our first night there, they had a small live band (jazzboard trio) who played outside by the fire then inside after dinner. It was a highlight of the trip and started off our time in Mendoza on a very personal and warm note.  We came from New York and cannot at all understand why more Americans don’t know about this place.  This place is so unique and picturesque, we are very looking forward to coming back to Mendoza and staying in hotel de cielo in the future!!!

Absolutely stunning location in the mountains. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The room was amazing and the bed was so comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were also absolutely delicious and enjoyable. Waking up to the view of the mountains is something we’ll never forget!

The view from the room was incredible. Every room has an amazing view. The dinner was home cooked and everyone that was staying there sat at a long table together which was really special. The food was incredible. When we arrived at 1130 pm the owner immediately greeted us and made us feel right at home.

Tough to communicate if you do not speak Spanish - although we are in Argentina so that is not the hotel’s fault (it is our responsibility).
