Our second visit, this time with our dog. Ideal environment for her and our ground floor room with doors opening to courtyard/terrace was perfect. We love the fact that the rooms have a small kitchen area, so limited ‘self catering’ is possible. Access to the spa is good, lovely thermal pool, jacuzzi etc. Lectoure is a nice town with plenty of places to eat and beautiful countryside around.

A bit of confusion over pricing of ‘extras’ (breakfast and pet charge). Outdated prices in hotel brochure in the room and on back of door led to some embarrassment on both sides when settling up. No excuse for this really - they’ve had all winter to get this sorted! I still think 15 euros per night is a lot for a pet charge and can never really understand what it is supposed to be for…?

Accommodation was a lovely ground floor room overlooking garden courtyard area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived late evening and they prepared a platter of cold meats, cheese and bread whilst we had drinks from the bar and relaxed in the comfortable sitting room area. The hotel is well situated in Lectoure with a relaxed atmosphere and would highly recommend.

No evening meal option in the hotel, but there were a couple of restaurants within a short walking distance in Lectoure.

The hotel is beautiful and has a lovely small garden in the front, where you can sit for drinks, tea/coffee. Our room is very nice and our bed is comfortable. I like the small round table with chairs in our room - giving us a place to sit down and write. Breakfast was good. It had a lot of choices.

I hope the hotel had a restaurant as the local restaurants close early (both at lunch time and in the evenings) or fully booked. Often there was nowhere to go for lunch or dinner. Sometimes we had to buy food and eat in our room. Once or twice a truck was making very loud noises outside our window early in the morning - we may have a loading bay outside our window?

The location is great right in the heart of Lectoure. The rooms have had air conditioning installed since our visit last year and this made a huge difference to our enjoyment of the room. Our room was light and airy and a good size and we liked the kitchenette.

I think complimentary tea and coffee should be provided every day and not just on day one. This is a high quality hotel and not providing tea bags and coffee sachets for every day doesn't sit well with that. When we were given a peppermint tea bag from the restaurant when we asked for it they tried to charge us 5 euros for it!! I complained and so they took it off the bill. Apart from that there was nothing wrong but they should provide the tea and coffee as part of the booking - the cost is minimal to them and there is no need to alienate the guests by trying to charge 5 euros for a tea bag!

Everything was excellent from start to finish. Easy parking, welcoming, comfortable, perfect location, easy access to spa, lovely room, equipment, the ability to self cater….a great experience.

We have only one small issue - for us who eat a small breakfast, the price is just not good value. However, turning this into a positive, next time we will do our own breakfast in our room. We applaud the fact that this hotel is perfectly at ease with guests self catering, and provides excellent facilities in the room for this purpose.

We loved the tasteful work which had been done to make this into a beautiful hotel while retaining the historical character of the building. The location is really superb and the staff very helpful yet unobtrusive. The"coin cuisine " was a godsend and enabled us to sample the culinary delights of the Gers. (see below for a very minor criticism)

There is not really any necessity to have a dishwasher when there is only dishes for two. A small draining board would suffice.

Beautiful property with very comfortable beds and rooms. Great location!

Do NOT order room service. We thought we would treat ourselves to room service one night. The menu was very limited but thought it would be alright. We ordered ravioli, mushroom risotto, and 2 crepe Suzette’s. All of the dishes were served in glass jars (even the crepe Suzette’s) and we were told if they weren’t warm enough we could heat them in the microwave! No where on the menu did it say that every thing came in jars that were just heated up. They were NOT good. We brought up our concerns and we’re told they would get in touch with management. They said they deducted the cost of the crepe Suzette’s but the price for the 2 “mains” and 2 drinks was still $90 and they would not budge.

Lectoure is a pretty town with several restaurants. The hotel is gorgeous and a welcome sanctuary after a few hours travelling in the heat. However, on a Monday in France most are closed. One was open and was lovely. Breakfast was fine. I liked that the hotel has a deal with the neighbouring Thermal Spa allowing guests to use it.

No complaints about the hotel. Would have loved it if the town's swimming pool was open. Apparently there is some stalemate re funding over repairs.

Staff were very helpful and considerate. Very effective Air conditioning welcome this hot summer. Decor and overall appearance of hotel excellent and stylish. Breakfast buffet including Lectoure melon was superb. We would highly recommend

Beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. Very comfortable rooms, plenty of space.

The information given prior to arrival regarding the spa was incorrect, the times you could access it were wrong which meant we couldn’t use the spa because we’d already made plans. Also they fail to tell you that men can only use the spa if they have trunks. Swimming shorts are “forbidden”.
