I am a past resident of Fairmont and am familiar with the demographics, etc. Highland Court Motel has at times been a rather distant motel for truckers, construction workers, etc. But through word of mouth from my daughter who lives in Fairmont, she said you had done some nice renovations and the motel was under new management. With having a puppy as my companion, the $10 fee was awesome (vs. $50 or not allowing pets at all). It was SO much easier to lift, carry, etc. with the car right at my front door. No elevators, walking long distances, etc. I will most certainly stay here again soon! Thank you! Kathy

I was a bit hesitant about possible truckers, etc. staying at the motel. i.e. parties, noise, etc. I was wrong! It was a very quiet place to stay with friendly staff and visiting guests from different states.

My planned arrival was for after midnight. The host was very accommodating. If I was a little more tech savvy, it would have been flawless. The use lock boxes with secure codes for late arrivals for people like me. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The TV was good. I didn't try the WIFI. I made good use of the refrigerator...it worked well.

Not much not to like. I was just looking for a place to get some sleep and a hot shower. My only dislike has nothing to do with the room. I wish that I'd had more time to spend in the area.

The motel was clean and quiet. I was in town for a disc golf tournament and needed a place mostly just to sleep and get cleaned up between days. This location included a large mini fridge and microwave which was excellent for keeping my stuff cold without going through a bunch of ice. The room I had (19) had a paris theme and was simple but nice for the price. It felt like staying in a friend’s spare room with an en-suite. Would definitely stay here again.

The TP holder in the bathroom was mounted pretty close to the toilet making it a bit cramped. The room could also benefit from an exhaust fan to keep the humidity from the shower from impacting the whole room. Otherwise it was great!

The owner was so accommodating! We had leftovers to heat up and he loaned us their personal cutlery. He was so kind. We only stayed for one night, but it served its purpose. They have been over backwards to make the room as comfortable as they can. It’s clean and the bed is comfortable. They have no problem with pets.

The room is small, but since we only stayed for one night, that wasn’t a huge issue.

Nice quiet motel with cute room theme (ours was country apples) and comfortable king bed. Clean and soft sheets plus towels. Very reasonable price. Beats the brand name hotels as it offers friendly staff service, cozy clean and well taking care of rooms. Would definitely stay again in the future.

The bed was very comfortable. Plenty of pillows! Great to have big fridge and a microwave. Manager/owner very friendly. Room was clean. Was only there 2 nights - requested no room service- so can’t rate that.

The room felt dated and the bathroom could use some updating. But very functional.

Host was very friendly when I stated late check in. when I called the next morning due to I thought we had no hot water for showers -HOst said she was concerned about us getting checked in ok. That was very nice. WE did have hot water just took a bit to flow through shower.

in the morning no one was in the office -would have been nice to get a cup of coffee n tell them the room was very comfortable.

very comfy and cozy. super clean room. was quiet and peaceful. didn't have to talk to staff more than a few minutes on the phone to get the key to the room. very pleased with my stay.

Although this is an older single story unit that you just drive on past, I would recommend this place. It was clean, quant, comfortable and the price was right. I was surprised with how well maintained our room was and the added touches to keep it warm and cozy-great job!

Clean, good for a break while traveling. It was a few minutes from lakes and places to get something to eat.

It took a long time to get hot water. Finally took a cool shower and washed my hair, and as I finished, water started to warm up.
