The hotel location is super, very close to the village and sea, and fabulous view from my room balcony facing the seafront, with a direct line of sight to wonderful sunsets. Relatively quiet, and felt quite 'separate' from the rest of the outside world, ideal for relaxing. The room size was good and it's well appointed, bright and reasonably comfortable, good value for money. The pool is substantial and the poolside has plenty of sun loungers, towels, and snacks and drinks available from a member of staff on duty when the pool is open. I didn't take breakfast at the hotel, though there's an excellent cafe-restaurant opposite that serves great home-cooked foods, coffee and so on if you - like me - sleep through the breakfast time :) . The staff were very attentive, very helpful and friendly. The small bar well-stocked and serves great coffee and tea all day and evening, and although I didn't eat at the hotel - there's excellent fish restaurants nearby - the food served looked delicious, freshly-prepared and plentiful.

The air conditioning wasn't very effective (I think it's a case of cleaning the filters and re-pressurizing the refrigerant). The hot water was limited and very low pressure, though the room was at the top of the building and the pressure in the lobby facilities was fine. The mini safe wasn't working at first. It would have been super to have a mini-fridge to cool the numerous free bottles of water from the hotel.

Breakfasts were excellent, a wide variety of food, plenty to choose from, and a spacious breakfast area with a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. The pool area was also great: clean, with lots of sunbeds and umbrellas, a bar, and free towels. The pool has a stunning sea view, which we really enjoyed. The hotel has a great location: there are several restaurants and cafes nearby, a pedestrian street with shops, and a grocery store just around the corner. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the public beach (although the walk back is uphill), and around 15 minutes to the small bay beaches, the fortress, and the lighthouse.

I had booked a room with two separate beds and a garden view, as I was traveling with my mother. However, we were given a room with one bed and a fold-out cot that was only brought in after our second request. And the view was on back yard. The TV and fridge in the room did not work, we reported this to a staff member, but nothing was fixed. The shower head was broken and only sprayed from the side, and the toilet flush sometimes didn’t work. There was no proper lighting in the room, no ceiling light, only small lamps by the bed, in the hallway, and in the bathroom, so the room felt very dark in the evenings. Cleaning could be improved: sand in the shower wasn’t removed, and the bathroom door looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for months.
