The hotel was kept very clean period the staff was friendly period however, the first impression of the hotel is not good as you walk into the lobby that has pool tables and game machines peread. The hotel gave a poor impression upon entering due to pool tables and game machines. Being the first thing you see period however, the staff was very accommodating, and the rooms were kept very clean with daily service period it isn't need of an update as it is an older hotel record period.  The continental breakfast could be greatly improved by offering some fresh fruit such as apples or bananas, instead of all carbohydrates.

I didn't like the location or looks of the place. I booked the hotel for the hot tub usage and when we arrived, It was out of service!! This was a major bummer as that is what I was looking forward to. The floors were dirty, the pool tables you had to pay for which should be free as part of our stay.

The outside appearance, along with the worst parking lot conditions we have ever seen to an operating business was alarming at first. We almost kept on driving to be truthful. However, I went in to check it out and was pleasantly surprised by the cute décor & cleanliness of the lobby. After checking in with a very friendly staff member my mind was changed about staying and we all had a very comfortable weekend there.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were all friendly, helpful and accommodating. The location was great for exploring the Katahdin region of beautiful Maine.

Front desk staff available at all times and very helpful. Many amenities: washer and dryer, hot tub, arcade games, etc. Perfect stay for hikers who need a place to recuperate after a camping trip.

Facilities still under renovation with signs of it all around.

I liked that the hotel had a pool, so when the weather was rainy, we could at least go swimming.

Hard to say. I liked most of what they had. I guess a better working microwave in the room? I noticed that there had been a bar on site in the past; would have been nice to have had it open.

Cory at the front desk was very nice. I dropped my wallet in a puddle, and someone turned it in and he left a note for me and dried it off.

Haha, the parking lot, like everyone else. But for the value, I didn't care, since I was in a rental car anyway.

Everyone was really friendly. Not too busy this time of the year, so it was kind of quiet. They made sure everything was to our satisfaction.

The breakfast wasn't diabetic friendly, my husband is diabetic, so we had to go to a local restaurant to eat breakfast every morning. All they had were sweet rolls, toast, cereal, etc. But their coffee was great so we always got a travel mug full of that.

Location was convenient for Baxter State Park and Katahdin Woods and Waters, but hard to find initially as it is hidden behind a vacant business with no frontage on the main road.

Old furnishings looked like from 1950s. Carpet in hallways is old, dirty and lumpy. Odd set up with the pool inside the lobby but probably nice for people with kids. Pleasant staff at front desk.

Room and building was very clean. Building is old but well maintained. Very clean room. Bed was comfortable and room smelled nice.

The free breakfast was juice, toast, cereal and coffee. They had a container of margarine half used on the counter. No peanut butter, or jelly. It was Sunday and I thought they would have something nice.
