I really enjoyed my stay in Albenga, so much that I would have stayed longer if I could! The location is initially a little confusing (it's down an alley way to the left of the IP garage - as you look at the garage - off the main road), however once you get into the garden you would never realise this as it feels very serene. It's also really well located to get into Albenga itself and out to the vineyards etc. I borrowed a bike from the host Mariapia and there's a cycle path which takes you in both directions safely. The room itself was lovely, comfortable and very clean. But the best bit was Mariapia, who couldn't have been more helpful! She gave me great recommendations, a lift to the station and a beautiful homemade breakfast every morning. Her dog, Gemma, is also an absolute sweetheart. I would absolutely stay here again!

Nothing - everything was great!

Nice stop over place near Genova, super nice host who speaks English and German, very lovely place with a shared kitchen. Room was small and comfortable, clean. There is a dog, in case you do not like dogs ;) small Italian breakfast was nice too!

Lots of mosquitos in the night, no air conditioning (AC), quite hot in the night and quite far from the city center of Albenga (30min by foot).

The accommodation was modern and clean. The host was extreamly helpful she provided us with a lot of information about the local tourist spots and best location for lunch and delicious ice cream. For breakfast Mariapia baked us delicious focaccia and cakes. She offerd to take us to the station with her car and also gave us a number for a taxi moreover she gave us a free tourist card with wich we could take the bus for free. She has a friendly dog and lovely cat. We would love to go back again and we recommend Calicantus to anybody who want to stay around near the area and have delicious home made breakfast.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like. The only thing i would like to mention, is that on foot it was a little bit far away from the train station.

The hostess was excellent, very knowledgeable about the area and spoke English and German as well as Italian. There is a sweet boxer dog who is enthusiastic, be prepared. Secure parking for Motorbike 👍. About 1.5 km flat walk from the start of town and restaurants. Felt safe.

The only downside is actually finding the place! It's behind the IP petrol station down an alleyway to the left(as you look at the station). It is not marked from the main road and locals do not know it.

Note: We did not stay at the property due to our own choice, however I am writing a review because we received great service. The owner was super friendly and kind when we called to say we would not make our stay, and they even offered to let us stay if we were in the area again. We would have loved to stay at the property, but our family insisted we stay with them on our holidays. :)

The owner of the B&B was very friendly and could tell us a lot about the things to do in the area. Also she prepared a lovely breakfast with local products. Rooms were big and clean. We could use the bikes to get to the old town, that was great.

It was very hot in the rooms and there was no airconditioning.

Excellent host, location and parking facilities. Room was clean, comfortable and airy. Bathroom a good size and spotless. Close to centre of Albenga and several amenities. Definitely recommend.

It really was a perfect stay! 100% recommended. The host speaks German and everything got organised smoothly. Pet friendly. Clean rooms, nice garden and a great place to stay :) thank you very much!

lovely stay in a beautiful room, with a private bathroom. very clean and good location. Maria even picked me up and dropped me off at the train station. she was very kind and went out of her way to make sure I had a good stay. she gave me restaurant recommendations, maps and taxi numbers! there was a delicious home made breakfast with an amazing cappuccino!

Super nice and knowledgeable host. Home made traditional breakfast was amazing. Really comfortable bed. Safe private parking for my motorcycle.
