I have only found two guesthouses in the (more than 20) years that I am traveling around the globe, being so good that there are no words powerful enough to describe them. This is the second one. And it’s amazing. No matter what you expect to see or experience when you get there, it will be far better than this. Thistle Guesthouse in Scotland, opposite of Inveraray Castle in St. Catherine’s is the first one. If you are close to one of these two and they are available go one and book them. And don’t do the mistake that I did and only stay there for a night…

If someone finds something negative about this place, I am dying to find out what it was…

I stayed at Maison d hotes Coeur de Village Alsace & spa during my solo 18-day cycle ride along the Rhine, this was the twelfth day of the trip. I liked everything about this B&B - the ambience, the room, the common space inside and out. It was all top notch. Sylvie, the owner was wonderful and helpful with my travel arrangements. I would have liked to have stayed longer to enjoy the morning but was short of time so I left early. There is a communal table for breakfast and I'm sorry I was not there to meet the other guests for longer than just a few minutes. I hope to come back to Maison d hotes Coeur de Village Alsace, it's a very special place and there are good reasons why it is so highly rated.

I wouldn't change a thing.

Spotted this as it had very high reviews, and it didn't disappoint. The place was spotless and comfortable. We were greeted by Sylvie on arrival, who showed us to our room, which was warm and comfortable and the windows have black out blinds for a good sleep. Breakfast was superb and Sylvie catered to our needs, as a few of us had specific diet requirements. She was polite, friendly and talkative and highlighted the local produce that was part of our breakfast. Soooooo much better than staying in a large chain hotel. There were local restaurants recommended, however we drove to Strasbourg for the evening. It's a great half way point between London and the Alps, which means we'll be staying there again !!!

everything was perfect. the owner is really polite and you can really see that she is really in love with her job. It's always a pleasure to find this type of location when you are traveling for business and you want to feel at home. rooms are big and very well clean. breakfast complete and made with high quality and fresh products. much better than stay in a cold and anonymous business hotel :)

We rented 2 rooms in this well decorated and very nice guesthouse. It is located in the country side in a beautiful area. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Great breakfast. Sylvie, the host is extremely nice and welcoming. She also assisted us in planning our last day in the Black Forest and Alsace.

Exceptional courtesy and customer service by host Sylvie, including the generous breakfast with personalized service. The apt was clean with a relaxing ambience and all the amenities for guests comfort. Highly recommended for all types of travelers.

This is the perfect place for leisure. The property is so beautiful and well equipped. Sylvie is so kind and helpful …. we love her - superb host. Sylvie is so thoughtful and she had put in so much efforts on the property decorations (every single details in the corner of the property). We love this place so much and wanted to re book another 2 more night but it was fully booked (I would not surprised at all). PERFECT stay and awesome hospitality. HIGHLY recommended. FYI- we love all Sylvie recommendations- place to visit and restaurant. PERFECT!

Absolutely everything. I’ve stayed in many accommodations across Europe and have never felt so comfortable and welcomed. Sylvie should get a trophy for best Booking host! Not only were we impressed with the hospitality, but how immaculately clean the house was. The breakfast was the cherry on top :)

Nice lady (Sylvie) and nicely furnished room. Everything was well thought out. Great parking next to the front door. Pool table and lounge area. Nice breakfast included. Great value for the money. Excellent!! Nice people at the pizza place a short walk away.

Sylvie was a fantastic host, answering all of our questions before we arrived. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent with wonderful fresh breads & preserves & great coffee. The room was clean & cool - we slept very well. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend to others.
