700 years old mansion beautifully preserved and well cared for. Lots of details and remains of the history that were obviously adored by the caretakers. Waking up to the view on the terrace everyday was such a privilege. The staff members were more than hospitable. They were thoughtful and always popping by to ask if we wanted chay or Turk coffee when we were lounging on the terrace, even late at night.

While our room was comfortable and beautiful, the shower screen doors, bathroom furniture, and amenities can use some upgrades to enhance the experience and space even more. WiFi could be unstable at times.

A wonderful small hotel in a restored old building. Very atmospheric, beautiful room, magnificent views from the terraces. You can drink tea or wine, admiring the surroundings. Friendly staff, good breakfast. The hotel is located close (a few minutes walk) to the city center and the main shopping street, but at the same time - a quiet, calm place.

This is not a disadvantage, but rather a recommendation - the parking is not very close (300-400 m) and from there you need to climb up several stairs. The hotel staff helped us carry our suitcases from the car and then back to the car. It was nice!

Great locacion in old Mardin very near to the Old Bazar and many other landmarks within the old city. Room was very good and the staff was superberb. We booked with them a tour with Tahir (Taxi Driver) which was one of the best things in our Mardin visit, eventough he does not speak english, but with google translate everything is possible. Very recommended. Very Important: bear in mind that streets and alleys in Old Mardin are very steep and with lots of stairs, so you need to walk with luggage to the hotel location as the nearest street could be aprox. 200 mts away.

Maristan Tarihi Konak was a totally outstanding experience: the 700 year old building, the staff support, the incredible view, the location, the room and healthy breakfast Emin and Sinan were amazing in the help they provided getting to and from the property and other day to day questions. They were a highlight of my stay in Mardin.

For me, there was nothing to dislike.

The hotel was traditional, the room was very cozy and clean. The personal was king, friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was great and the view from the terrace was amazing!

The room wasn’t very soundproof, as we had the room in the entry of the hotel, we could hear almost everything. The bathroom in the room was a little bit special as it hasn’t ceiling and there was no privacy.

You can feel the history in the house it is amazing. Also the terrace and the view are probably unmatched in Mardin. To have tea or breakfast there is a dream. Owner and staff are really kind. Felt very welcome

Had a little bit of a bad smell coming from the bathroom

Great manager and staff. We were sent a message ahead of time to guide us through the maze of steps and narrow lanes to the hotel. The manager called taxis for us and negotiated the prices; he called the driver of our departing taxis to tell us we’d left a piece of luggage in the room. Breakfast was good. The place has been tastefully renovated without losing its ancient flavour. Since we didn’t have good weather, we weren’t able to take full advantage of the terrace and the view it offers over Mardin.

Nothing. if you are not young any more, avoid heavy suitcases, difficult to carry in the steep narrow lanes to the hotel. if not, get the hotel to arrange a taxi pickup for you.

All the staff in the hotel incredibly polite, helpfull and practical.. Emir and Zahit have created peaceful enviroment in the hotel. Every individual person who works in the hotel are welcoming. I will stay there again soon...Also, the hotel is in quie area but walking distance away from crowded main old street that all bazaars close by... Theit taxi service is exceptional too. Tahir Bey was very helpful and knowledgeable taking me to Urfa and Gobeklitepe before taking me to airport on time. Great price and greatvservice overall.

The rooms are otantik, but i would love to see some otantic ibriks, tesbih or some reyhan or feslegen flowers in the hotel to represent Mardin more.

The hotel staff was like a family. They work very hard and take good care of their customers. Excellent service and helpful.

It:s not about the hotel. The area needs refurbishment and be more tidy. Some of the steps leading to the hotel need upkeep and maintenance

This hotel is a 700 yr old synagogue which has been converted to a hotel. It has beautiful rooms, some of which have 300 year old wood door and huge iron keys. We really enjoyed using the keys to open the locks. Our room on the third floor had a beautiful golden design on the ceiling, the walls and wooden cupboards have it a very historical vibe. There was a breakfast nook outside our room and the view from it was out of this world. It was worth climbing all the stairs for this room but if someone has issues with mobility they should consider the fact that there is no elevator. The owner of the property as well as all the workers were extremely helpful and respectful. We loved our stay here and would love to visit again for a longer stay.
