First off, I’m surprised at all of the low score reviews, we had a great stay! I can’t speak about others’ experiences, but ours was really way better than expected. The property itself is older with creaky parquet floors, though this is part of the charm! Staying in an older property means you accept the history that comes with it, if you don’t like that then go stay in something modern like a Hilton or Marriott. The price point is excellent for what you get in an older property, so again set your expectations appropriately. My wife and I spent 3 nights in Room 1 and it was amazing. The room was spacious, the bed was clean and comfortable, there was hot water in the shower and good pressure, the premises were quiet so we slept very well. Room 1 faces the main city square and has good ventilation and views. Also it is surprisingly quiet for a town square! The breakfast was good and the kitchen staff were also helpful.

We really have nothing negative to say about our stay. I would like to point out an observation about a guest that we witnessed during our stay. At breakfast a guest asked one of the kitchen staff for something and didn’t get a response, then rudely blew her off. If you’re a guest in a foreign country you should try to learn a few words so you aren’t a complete dismissive and entitled princess. Not everyone speaks English.

Beautiful location. They gave me better room deluxe, clean towels every day, beautiful fresh breakfast (fresh vegetables, fresh fruits), clean room, comftorbole beds. Amazing experience.

When I was looking for hotels in Písek I was doubtful to book here because of the bad reviews from a year ago and before, but since I noticed the reviews from the recent months were better I decided to give it a chance and it definitely exceeded my expectations! The room was beautiful and spacious, it had a nice view, mini fridge and it seemed it was renewed not long ago, I bet you won't regret staying here! I would definitely stay here again!

In the beginning I didn't like the fact that although I wrote the hotel one week before my arrival asking if I could do the check-in one hour before the regular check-in time I had to wait 'till 2pm for the room to be ready. In the end it wasn't a problem because I could leave my suitcase in the storage room and I had time to go around Písek.

I would say it's good enough to spend the night there. The rooms, albeit small, were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was also good.

Noisier drunk neighbors and the square church bell, but that's not something the hotel can do anything about, so I don't count it as a negative
