Easy communication with the housekeeper Rika, she was very welcoming and helpful at all times . Great diner , amount and quality of food was very good . Lovely setting , big fireplace in the dining room was very helpful as were the heated blankets , which were switched on for us before we returned .

Just two small things , which wouldn’t keep us from coming back but might help : Heating lamps in the bathroom were not working . A curtain which separates the entrance from the bedroom would help not only against the cold wind but also dim the lights from the patio.

Peaceful environment in Hanover. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Meals are DELICIOUS! Staff is super friendly and helpful.

I unfortunately wasn't able to have breakfast as time did not permit, but judging by the wonderful dinner experience and quality I'm sure breakfast would have been nothing than amazing.

If I could rate this place higher I would. Nadia was our host and she was EXCEPTIONAL. I wanted to take her home with us. The room was incredible, neat and felt just like home. The food was beyond anything we could have imagined. My husband is a foodie and said it was the best oxtail he has ever had. What a great place to stay at. Home away from home.We will definitely be back.

Beautiful stylish place in unexpected good taste. Nice local menu options such as 'krummelpap.' The way the outside seating is arranged provide guests to interact with each other if they should want to. The entire atmosphere of the place welcomed strangers to greet and visit with each other.

Felt uncomfortable with a begging child calling to us from the gate. Staff was very friendly but did not immediately offer to help unload or carry luggage. When asked, however, they seemed very willing.

The location just off the N1 and half way between Cape Town and Jhb was perfect. The hotel is thoughtfully decorated and is a pleasant oasis after a long days drive. The hostess, Rika, was friendly and welcoming. Her lamb shank dinner was 5 star! Secure off street parking available.

I erroneously booked the room with a bath only and would have preferred a shower.

Boutique Guesthouse Hanover was our overnight stop-over on our long road trip from Johannesburg on our way to Cape Town for our December holiday. What a pleasure it was to arrive at this most beautiful gem of a small hotel in the town of Hanover. We were welcomed with open arms (even though we arrived later than anticipated) and enjoyed the most delicious dinner, followed by the best night's sleep. What a treat. I would highly recommend Boutique Guesthouse Hanover - the staff, the decor, the food, the rooms, the cleanliness. It was a joy!

Arriving in town you might be sceptical BUT this guesthouse is a diamond! Great staff, lovely clean room, good bed and EXCELLENT food! We had to have 3 meals between the two of us to Taste as much as we can! The portions are big but you can’t help yourself licking the plate!

I would love to see the have a decor/second hand shop! I would spend money!!!

The dinner was superb. Being the only guest due to winter out of season, Hanna and the chef went out of their way to ensure I had a beautiful evening. Lighting a fire and setting the atmosphere and serving an outstanding lamb shank. The rooms are so warm and comfortable and clean. Lovely setting and beautiful gardens, my husky Shakira loved her stay. Definately the only place to stay between JHB and CPT. Hanna is amazing!

We were blown away from the start. One small cloud … I ordered fried eggs for breakfast and would have liked toast with it. The roosterbroed was ok but came when I had eaten 3/4 of the food (prefer hot eggs so didn’t wait !). It that’s a small issue. My husband’s omelette was delicious, a better choice !

As above … and a small language problem as the concept of hot milk for our flasks, so we could add a tot of coffee to each, wasn’t fully grasped. But we fixed our coffees in the end and that was okay.
