It was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in; so luxurious. There was a separate bath and shower which is rare in China. The room was spacious, modern and clean with great facilities such as extra toothbrushes, dressing gowns and an iron. The grounds in and around the hotel were amazing. All staff were super helpful especially the front desk staff and the bell boys too! The hotel backs onto the Panmen Scenic Area which is truly magical and FREE! My family will only stay here from now on in Suzhou.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Pan Pacific Suzhou and were thoroughly impressed by every aspect of our experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade to a suite, which made our stay even more special. The hotel’s exterior is beautifully styled like an ancient Chinese palace, offering a truly picturesque and culturally rich atmosphere. In contrast, the rooms are newly renovated with modern comforts, creating a perfect balance between tradition and luxury. One of the highlights is its proximity to the Pan Men Scenic Area—just a short walk away. It made sightseeing incredibly convenient and enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of both local and international options to choose from each morning. Everything was fresh and delicious, catering well to different tastes. Overall, Pan Pacific Suzhou exceeded our expectations and offered a unique and comfortable stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Suzhou! We will definitely stay here again if we were to return.

Amazing experience immersing in the ancient part of Suzhou. Hotel guest gets free and easy access to 4A historical site, Panmen, that offers different scenes during day time and at night. Hotel area is tranquil like a Chinese imperial estate with beautiful music in the background. Chinese costumes are available for cosplay and photoshoot too! Many restaurants within the hotel area. Rui noodles and strawberry mango cakes are must try. Next to the hotel there is a nice French bread shop and a cosy cafe with great coffee. Traveling to different town area and returning by taxi is very convenient.

Would have been perfect if there were fewer occasions of smoke smell in hotel room and lobby pickup area.

Located just next to Pan Men attraction with unlimited access to it. Facilities and breakfast are great! Special mention to their manager, the bell boy (both in the photo) and security staff who worked together to help me get my backpack left in the first didi car: We had quite a scare on our last day in Suzhou, but thanks to the amazing Pan Pacific Suzhou team, it all turned out well! My husband and I booked a Didi to Suzhou railway station as we wanna head off to Shanghai, but the driver refused to let us put our second luggage in the front seat since his boot had his box of stuff... so he told us to cancel the ride - and the moment we did, he drove off immediately. Everything happened so fast that we didn’t realize my backpack was still in his car 😱 It wasn’t until we were about to leave in another cab that I suddenly noticed it was missing. We quickly requested to pay the driver for the unfulfilled trip (since it was our fault), got out and asked the hotel staff for help. The manager and security team jumped into action—they checked the CCTV and confirmed that my bag was left in the first car. Meanwhile, I managed to contact Didi customer service to get the driver’s number. From there, the hotel manager personally called the driver, convinced him to help arranged for another Didi to bring the backpack back, and even made sure the driver will expedite his help to us by incentivising him with a "red packet" from us (so that the driver will be incentivised to help us solve our problem asap). Within 90 minutes, my bag was back in my hands. Very thankful to the team for all the help rendered! Well done and God bless you all! 😊

I realised most of the staff do not know how to handle the situation when other hotel guests suddenly interrupt/interject while handling my requests mid-way. For example, when i was asking where i can go and staff was answering my questions, some other guest came to counter and asked some Qs, staff proceeded to attend to the other guests Qs instead of completing my enquries and asking the other guest to wait. Similarly, at the restaurant, while serving my orders, when another guests call for the staff, the staff seemed flustered and quickly rushed to the other table to attend. So perhaps there can be some training to guide the staff how to handle situations when guests interrupt and politely ask the interrupting guests to wait.

The staffs are very friendly, from the check-in to check-out. We had a number of requests which was attended to. Due to the smoke smell, we request the room to be changed. It was done without any hesitation . Staffs helped us with food and parcel delivery. The hotel have the traditional modern palace feel. Hotel are linked to Pan-gate, one of the attraction in the city. There is a shopping mall nearby the hotel too, 10-15minutes walk. Very satisfy with the breakfast buffet.

The heavy smoke smell in room. Could try to enforce a stricter rule for smoking in non-smoking room.

The real bonus staying in this hotel is the Panmen Garden connected to it. Take an early morning or late evening stroll, when there's no crowd, to truly enjoy its tranquility . When the Garden was lit up in the evening, the view was simply stunning. We could not finish exploring the Garden during our 2 days' stay there. There is a pagoda, a watch tower, an ancient city wall, and more, all within or connected with Panmen Garden. This is a good place to stay to quiet and calm one's soul. The breakfast was great too, with a good spread.

Our room's air-conditioning was noisy and warm when we first checked in. It took a few attempts for the technicians to solve the problem. There was no such issue in the other 2 rooms we booked for our children. Other than that, the stay was almost perfect.

I liked my room with a balcony facing a nice view and those twin beds were so comfortable. We had our dinner at Hai Tien Lou, it's delicious with reasonable pricing. Last but not least, I would like to thank the 吳宮值班經理. My clumsiness left my phone in the room and I only found out in the midnight before asleep. He managed to go extra miles for me and delivered my phone to my hotel in Shanghai the next day. Your kindness and willingness to help are much appreciated. Thank you for everything:)

There is no bar for drinking.

We highly recommend the hotel in Suzhou, 10 minutes walk to metro. But Didi is really cheap there. -The hotel style was very chinese which was great. -The garden near by was really nice to walk to during the day and also during the night, -We rented Hanfu dress for free for an hour which was also very nice. -Room was clean and comfortable, a little small tho -breakfast really nice and big but no halal food. -supermarket across the street

-All restaurants and hotel kitchen closes before 9...so if you got hungry you have nothing to eat ! We really didnt appreciate that at all. -indoor pool was not really nice and the outdoor pool was closed. -only 2 people from the satff spoke English. Rest had zero english which is not normal for a 5 stars hotel... No halal food at all so we had to stick to veggies.

Almost everything was perfect except for the internet connection that was a real problem. If you go to this hotel on holidays, it's a really nice place, but if it's for work be prepared with the WiFi...

The internet connection was awful and this was really difficult to work from the room (impossible with the WiFi). By chance we bought a SIM card with 5G data access and like that we worked. The level of IP packet losses was so high that even when we connected to our own email servers oversea we were blacklisted dur to a too high amount of connexion from the same IP address (the hotel). This point has to be definitly solved oherwise I would not come back to this hotel for a business trip.

It is more than a hotel. It is beautiful, comfortable, clean and convenient. This is a "must stay" hotel in Suzhou. Nice garden within the hotel, which is a tourist attraction. Free entry for guests. There is a shopping mall within walking distance (10 mins). There is a self laundry service next to room 1094 (free with detegent provided). You can do your laundry there (3 washing machines and 3 dryers).

The pillows were too soft for our liking, nothing else.
