h78 is one of 3 hotels by this owner , with this hotel on the beautiful beach of Hulhumale - the newer residential island close to the airport, and apparently, plans for a new build 'sister' in the h78 hotels. The position of this hotel enables a delightful walk along the beach, and, within a small town block, double back along the 'main' street with many restaurants and cafes. The staff are genuinely welcoming, leaving you feeling you are part of 'their family' and all, with attention to detail of their particular job, create a caring team. Room and restaurant facilities all comfortable and clean in presentation. A downstairs in-house buffett breakfast or menu lunch and dinner provide delicious (including Maldivean ) options very conveniently. Otherwise, a stunning view from the roof-top balcony for a relaxing meal or drink. Airport transfer was organised and coordinated using direct whatsapp contact to ensure timely connection to flights or island transfer. As an additional option, in-house, (and if space permits, includes in-room) [Balinese] massage /spa treatments were available ... and so worth booking either before or after a long flight.

While I agree with energy conservation practices, removal of door 'key' resulted in the air-conditioner turning off - however, if curtains closed to reduce direct sunshine entering the room, it didn't take long for the temperature to cool. This was advertised as a 'delux' room, however it was sufficiently spaced for just the slightly larger bed, but the glorious seaview and small balcony, single seat, created a sense of endless space.

We stayed in H78 for one night before heading out to our island resort stay in Maldives. The hotel was clean, comfortable and took good care of us. The pickup from the airport, although at a late hour, was done smoothly and the hotel staff was present in person to handle the luggage, coordinate the car dropoff to the hotel, and also share information about the seaplane flight the next day. The facilities were clean, the food was good and tasty and the staff were super nice!!

I am very pleased with our experience. Our arrival was well organised by the hotel. We were collected upon arrival at the speed boat terminal and quickly transferred to the hotel. All the staff we met were kind and professional and showed a genuine interest to please their guests. The facilities of the hotel are very clean and well maintained. We had our lunch in their indoor restaurant, "The catch," and our dinner in the rooftop restaurant with fantastic views. Again, staff and food were amazing. On the day we checked out, we were offered to store our laguages at the hotel and the staff organised our transport to the airport late in the evening.

It was a place for us to recover from the long flights. Close to airport. Free shuttle to and from. Included a good breakfast. Beach across the road. It was quiet and dark which suited us to sleep. Nice staff. Aircon.

No windows unless you specifically book an ocean view. Seatbelts in the minibus didn’t all work. Pickup at airport was not seamless, had to look around for our hosts and then wait for a while in the heat. The sofa bed for the kids is small, ok for a night or two. Location was ok, didn’t want to go walking around the streets alone. But I am a nervous lady.

The staff were amazing, helpful, and friendly. Maya was amazing she picked us up from the airport and greeted us with a big smile. She was also friendly with my kids. Arriving at the hotel, the welcome was good. The receptionist from India apologies that I forgot the name but he picked us from the airport on our arrival on the 11th from the airport. The breakfast was enough and delicious. The beach is exactly opposite the hotel which is very convenient for a walk. In general, I recommend the hotel whither for long or short stay.

I ordered pizza and fries to my kids. However, it arrived a bit cold to the room.

I like the location,staff was all helpful and friendly.I have to praise current chef as meals were full of flavour without overuse of chilli. There are plenty restaurants and shops in few steps from the hotel.

We have stayed in a twin room without balcony, which made it but difficult to dry our swimwear for the next day.I suggest future visitors to take 2-3 sets of swimwear or request room with balcony. As a check point for maintenance I would add regulator of fan. Our had range min-max but it was set at the same pretty high speed.

This hotel was a short drive from Male' airport. We were picked up at the airport by the hotel staff, when we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by more staff and they happily took our bags and gave us some delicious refreshments. Thamila, hotel reception, (I may be spelling this wrong), but he was the highlight of our stay. He was so friendly and upgraded our room without us asking. He also offered to pack us some sandwiches since we would not have time to take advantage of their lovely onsite restaurant. Our room was updated, clean and quiet. This hotel was wonderful and we would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

We had a difficult check-out situation with timing and breakfast, but the staff went out of their way to help us to make it work. We discussed it with the night-shift staff at check-in time, but in the morning the new staff were already aware of the situation. They have a good system for internal communication, unlike other hotels where you have to explain the situation again when there is a staff change and nobody knows anything. Room was clean and it also has a good restaurant. Location is near the beach. Airport shuttle is included.

Rooms are small, a little too small. We have a large suitcase that flips open and we couldn't find enough space in the room to open it and still have space to walk. We had to climb over the bed to move around when the case was open.

Staff are very nice and accomodating. Offered us to change room as aircon wasn't working however we just arrived after 15 hours flight and was tired to swap. They checked up on us a few times yo ensure we where ok!

Easy checkin process. Having the meet and greet at the airport was very helpful. The line for the taxi when I arrived was well over an hour wait, I didn’t have to wait for the driver. Excellent help with the luggage and making it a very smooth process. Checkin at the hotel was simple and pleasant, with all points of the hotel being explained. The room was small but practical and was just fine for a one night stay before departure for the islands. I had a restful sleep. The hotel restaurant served dinner at a very good value and extremely tasty. Went with the sesame tuna and was very happy with my choice.
