Great Trails Yercaud Hotel is like an oasis in the sky. The elevated setting and architecture of this well-maintained complex is enchanting, the photos not doing it justice. I really liked the setout of the room (valley view) and it was lovely sitting out on the balcony above the clouds looking onto the scenery far below. While we skipped dinner, the breakfast and lunch options were tasty - fresh with lots of variety. The dining room was an experience in itself, with views of the valley and trees. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a lot of attention to detail so as to ensure our comfort. The hotel put on many events and were evidently family and dog-friendly with even a special play area for the dogs. We enjoyed the free tiffin in the afternoons at 4pm again with breathtaking views. Overall a really good experience and we would come again.

The location of the hotel is fantastic - the first property on the 21st bend as you go up the Yercaud drive with beautiful view of the lake from the top, Restaurants have an excellent choice of the menu - the best being the south Indian facilities with a provision for other varieties. The staff is extremely customer friendly and are prompt on the service in spite of the weekend rush which sees the occupancy at full capacity. Great place for a short break in the midst of nature. The resort also has excellent options for indoor recreation for kids/children and an even better option for outdoor - including zipline, box cricket and a nature trail organized by the experts.

The 2-in-1 setup of Restaurant Sky Rocca is a let down! It’s not quite accessible for people who stay especially down near the Trails/Pool view blocks, it’s only accessible and friendly for people who only come to restaurant. There should be a small second restaurant for people who stay! The restaurant also has not so good seating setup for managing peak capacity, guests keep running into each other! Chairs are colourful but not too much space consuming for the space! Maintenance could be better, my room Safe locker wasn’t ready and till one evening before I checkout after I followed up twice! Towels weren’t placed properly.

GReaT trails Yercaud by GRT Hotels far exceeded my expectations, especially after having stayed at other hotels in Yercaud. Sure, it's a bit pricey but it's money well spent for a delightful experience. The staff were amazing and attentive, responding immediately to any feedback, including my comment that the jacuzzi wasn't working (turned out I hadn't turned on the right switch). The room was modern, well-furnished, and comfortable, and had an amazing view. The bed allowed me to have a good night's sleep, and breakfast was satisfying. I was also impressed with the strong Wi-fi network, which was pretty bad during my stays at other Yercaud hotels. I had avoided the hotel in the past because I thought the hotel was too far away from the main town but I was wrong. A brisk walk will get you there in 15-20 minutes. I also liked the little Sky Walk near the restaurant--it's interesting to look down when you're standing on the clear glass parts of the walkway. Overall, a wonderful property with charming staff.

The staff was amazing! So thoughtful! Any problems we faced, they went out of their way to provide a solution to the same. From the check-in experience (manager Mr. Shaktivel), to the housekeeping (Mr. Sandeep and Boopathy), to the guest-experience staff (Mr. Firoz and Ms. Archana), to the restaurant staff (Mr. Aryan Ganguly) - they were all brilliant. The location is very convenient. For first time drivers, the ghat section can be little tense with the tight hair pin bends, and arriving at this location on the last hair-pin bend is a welcome relief. Guests are greeted with a delicious and refreshing drink - Sukku Coffee, and then shown to their room. We had the Trails view room on the ground floor with a wonderful view of the mountainside. In the evenings, tea, coffee and snacks are complimentary, and they can be enjoyed on the beautiful sky deck, with the amazing views of Salem City, above the clouds. Later in the evening, there was a bonfire with professional dance instructors and fun games. A buffet breakfast is included in the stay, and we indulged in great South Indian food with tea and coffee, as well as thick toast with lots of butter :). The live egg counter can be given a miss. The hotel is just a couple of kilometers from the lake and the surrounding city center. The 32 km loop road starts and ends at the lake, and we took the beautiful drive on that. All in all, the stay was amazing, and the staff was brilliant!!

I found this place unexpectedly. I read through the reviews before I booked here. I was just hoping that the reviews were true. I was surprised by the entire experience during the stay for two nights. I found the staff very courteous, consistently throughout, which I was very happy. The food in the restaurant was of high quality and taste. My kid was entertained through out the stay by the staff and she loved being there. Special thanks to housekeeping staff Bala and Sashi, Front desk staff Venkat, Staff Ramya, and restaurant staff Rajalakshmi and managers. All the staff are worth mentioning for the hospitality shows.

While the overall experience was great, i had some suggestions on the food pricing which I felt should be reduced but otherwise everything in the hotel was absolutely great.

Full marks for the location and the ambience. Lots of activities planned within the resort. Swimming pool is very good. Very good choice for vacation in Yercaud. Really appreciate all the staffs for being so courteous and professional.

Driver Dormitory - have requested the team to expand the facility. Food can be slightly better. Overall very satisfying experience.

The staff were courteous and the room had a beautiful valley view with large balcony. The breakfast was delicious and every item was prepared with care and none of them were a miss. The overall facility is very well maintained withe all facilities. My daughter enjoyed the pool (not a heated one though). The bon fire with DJ was nice but interrupted by rain. The indoor facilities like TT, chess, carrom are open for 24 hours. The room service was also good. Overall it was a great stay.

GRT Great trails was among the exceptional hotels that we stayed in . The rooms are lovely , the views are beautiful but what is truly differentiating is the kindness and professionalism displayed by every staff member we interacted with , right from the security guard to front desk to restaurant and room service staff . We had a delightful stay for 3 days and enjoyed every minute . Thank you GRT great trails !
