Classic motel type property with excellent modernised room. Well situated in central Tennant Creek the motel does not look particularly inviting, with rooms facing into a central, secured drive in and parking area (note - a few rooms look out onto the road outside, but are still within the secure boundary). However once in the room things pick up, being really comfortable, spacious, well equipped and modern. Could be the best place for an overnight stay in Tennant Creek.

Exterior is functional but not inviting. In a 3 week trip this was the only stay where it was much more pleasant to spend the evening sitting inside the room rather than outside on balcony/deck. However a major reason for this is its town centre location. Check in was a bit flaky, with reception door locked when we arrived, with a request to phone. As travellers with overseas phones this would have been an expensive option however we were able to get someone’s attention and all was good then.

Gated/enclosed parking was an unexpected bonus - with lots of random people roaming around outside (show day) and vandalized cars on the roads on the way up. It made me feel good about my choice to stay here for the safety of my vehicle. Host gave excellent recommendation to go to the memorial club (close by) for dinner and a cold beer. She had great local knowledge of the area which I found really helpful.

Not the best value for money, a bit overpriced, but I do get it with being so remote and there really isn't much else decent/safe accommodation in the area. Not a total deal breaker but does come into the rating given, we all do look for good value these days.

Our stay at the Safari Lodge Motel was great. It’s exceptionally clean, in a good location, and they even provided a large binder filled with information a visitor might want which included menus from the local restaurants. The motel is gated so we felt our vehicle was quite secure. Given that the town doesn’t offer much in the way of things to do …. the Safari Lodge was a comfortable place to chill after a long day of driving. We would definitely stay again.

In a perfect world it would have had a pool but no big deal.

It was nice to receive a call from Waseem on the day of our arrival, to check on our arrival time. Waseem was so pleasant on our arrival at the motel, which is really nice after a long day of travel. Having a fully automated gated facility at the motel was great - we felt very safe for our overnight stay.

Our room was at the front of the motel and a little small for two people with the amount of luggage etc we had.

The room was lovely, modern, clean and fresh, with tasteful decor, fantastic lighting, and very good quality furniture. The bed was very comfortable and supportive. Great air conditioner! Very secure parking, with secure fencing. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Overall a lovely place to stay.

It was a little hard to find in the dark but no issue in the end. Everything else was good.

The manager was very helpful and was available for assistance. The bed was comfortable and the A/C worked well in the nicely renovated room. The secure parking area was working unlike some other places which advertise secure parking but don’t lock gates.

The bathroom was really small even though the sink was separate.

Pleasantly surprised by the freshly rennovated rooms which were comfortable and spacious. The linen was releatively new and in a great condition, especially compared to what is available at some other places. Fan and air conditioning in room, very useful on hot days. Relatively good location and security of property.

Could not get the TV to work properly.

We stayed here again on our return trip. This time our room was at the back of the motel and the room was much "roomier" than our last stay. Again Waseem was very pleasant when checking in. Having a fully automated gated facility at the motel was great and again we very completely safe and it was very quiet.

Shower floor needed a good scrub! Could clearly see footprints in soap/scale scum. Screen smashed & missing. Bedroom floor fairly dirty - walked around in socks for 10mins when we arrived & they were filthy afterwards!

What a surprise when you open the door to your room , the room is really nice & unusually decorated it is very comfortable . The bed was comfy , the motel was quiet, & the man in reception was very friendly & helpful. If you are stopping off in Tennants Creek this is a good place to stay.
