My sister and I stayed at Teranka from 8-12 May and this was the best hotel experience we've both ever had. The hotel and grounds are stunning, area very tranquil and relaxing (the drive off the main road and down to the hotel is so pretty and peaceful), and staff super friendly and attentive. The attention to detail at Teranka was incredible - from the décor of the hotel to amenities to food to service. Everything is high end. We booked the cheapest room, thinking we'd probably get a tiny room with a view of a carpark, but the room overlooked the pool and was pretty spacious. AC also worked well in the room, which was important for two Americans. We were on the top floor (hotel has an elevator/lift), and the shower had a window with a view of the trees plus a rain shower head with amazing water pressure, which was *chef's kiss*. Breakfast was fantastic (the coconut and fig jam porridge was to die for). The beach that's just a 4 min walk from the hotel is pretty rocky, so we primarily went to Playa Arenals (where Casa Pacha is) for sand - it was 40EUR for two sun loungers and umbrella there. The two of us don't eat seafood (I know), but at Teranka's suggestion, we went several times to nearby Malagueña, which was set in a stunning garden, was reasonably priced for the island, and was really damn delicious. Teranka was well-priced (given how luxe it is) and slightly cheaper during our early/mid-May dates, and the weather was perfect. Not too hot but hot enough to lay out and go swimming. The hotel and island were also a little sleepy, which was nice. The only downside was that a few of the restaurants and shops hadn't opened yet for the season. Will definitely be visiting Teranka again. I think the hotel would be great for a bigger group, too, as they have games and a pool table downstairs, as well as great outdoor space to hang out. We rented a car from Pro-Auto through the tourism office website, which provided a discount.

Literally the only thing I can think of that could've been improved on was having firmer pillows in the room - that's just personal preference, though.

The Hotel is amazing! I think the best in the Island... I've stayed twice, food is good (although I do think they have room for improvement) the location is quiet and in my opinion superb. The staff is so profesional and helpful, our room was very comfortable and quiet.

The only thing I don't like is that the hotel is lacking a proper "exit" guest bathroom. Checkout is at 12 noon but if you need to or want to stay longer before leaving there isn't a proper place for you to shower and get ready. There is a open shower but it lacks privacy and toiletries to get properly ready.

The hotel is in a stunning quiet location, literally on the dunes, 2 min walk to the beach. It couldn't get any better. It's beautifully designed with high attention to details and aesthetics, it's just stunning. One of the most beautiful hotels we stayed at. The soft style fits perfectly with the area and it is very summery. The service is friendly and food tasty. The rooftop terrace has a fantastic view on the sea and the sunset.

Our room was quite small, we struggled to move around and didn't have enough space in the wardrobe. For the price we paid, we felt it wasn't really value for money. We got quite disappointed to learn that the wine voucher we got as a welcome gift at check in did not work at the rooftop bar. We were told we can only use it with the dinner in the restaurant on the ground floor. Unfortunately we have had the dinner there a night before and forgot the voucher. In a hotel this class it is disappointing to hear "no, not possible", especially because it was a welcome gift, but felt more like a trick. It wouldn't cost the hotel anything extra to offer the wine upstairs instead of downstairs.

The location is inspired. A beautiful, natural, quiet, serene hotel with fabulous decor, everywhere beautiful, natural, rustic, earth colours and textures. You can walk from the outdoor dining area to the stunning beach along a sandy path in two minutes flat. Bliss.

Perhaps the hotel could have some rental bikes or run its own taxi service? The hotel is far-flung - wonderful of itself - but for seeing more of the island I think you need to bring a car over. The taxis on the island are few, and and if you have a young family you can't hire the mopeds.

The property - grounds, common areas, pool and restaurants were all lovely. The staff was so friendly and acommodating. The food was excellent.

The room itself was a bit smaller than expected at this price point and some of the expected amenities weren't provided. The front desk staff were a bit hit and miss for friendliness and effort to help with requests.

Absolutely amazing stay… everything was perfect and we didn’t want to leave! The staff are extremely attentive, helpful and polite. The hotel facilities are great including an added bonus of an outside gym. Breakfast was amazing. Can’t wait to go back!!!!!!!

A short stroll from the sea, it’s a stylish and well appointed boutique hotel, nestled in lush green pine trees and other indigenous flora. The rooftop bar offers indelible views of the well preserved natural surroundings as well as great cocktails, best enjoyed at sunset. It’s clear a lot of thought went into creating the best experience possible down to the smallest detail. The location, away from the Ibiza crowds descending onto ses Illetes, is ideal to explore the many surrounding beaches and coves.

Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Great breakfast. Restaurant area really well designed-fun tables on the sand as well as more formal ones on the terrace. Generally a good atmosphere all round the hotel. Rooftop bar has amazing views looking over the sea. Short walk down to beautiful beach

Teranka is a gem perfectly nested in the beautiful tiara of Formentera. The island, its nature, its people, its peace, is out of discussion and at disposal of anyone who needs a relaxing escape but Teranka is able to add something else to this experience, something that made our stay in Formentera just perfect. Being a boutique hotel, the building is not huge (and thanks to this its perfectly blended in the gorgeous Mediterranean flora) but the rooms, the patio, the pool (😍), the balcony, the rooftop with the Nobu restaurant, the food, the wonderful staff, the little road to the sea … everything is just perfect and smooth. When I’ll be back to Formentera I will for sure come back to Teranka..

I honestly have a hard time at saying anything I didn’t like about this place..

This is the best hotel you can find in Formentera at the moment. Brand new, I love how they restaured an ancient hostal. Far from the crowded lowscale and greedy touristic offers of the island you can find at Teranka a truly elegant relaxing atmosphere with incredible staff and beautiful nature. I loved every moment of my stay. Now I'm in Es Pujols and I still miss Teranka.. Breakfast delicious but I suggest to dinner at the hotel if you look for a truly peaceful and elegant dinner. The outdoor gym is a pleasure. The swimmingpool and hamacas and every decor details met my expectations and beyond. A guest can feel a sense of generosity from the property.. the pleasure to give the best possible to their clients.
