Beautiful property, wonderful place to relax. Beautiful courtyards and pool. Huge, spacious room and luxe bathroom. Truly first-rate!

It is a bit further from the center of town than we realized. You can walk it but it takes a full half hour. But there are taxis. And kind of nice to be a little more secluded.

Nice spa facilities. Breathtakingly beautiful art and architecture. Overall very well maintained. Immaculately clean and ship shape everywhere. Rooms and bathrooms kept to a high standard. Helpful and friendly service. Very quiet neighborhood— the location is prime.

There was some construction that limited use of one of the pools for a couple of days. TV in the room is out of date and too complicated to use. Large suites have very nice bathrooms, comfortable beds, attractive furniture, etc but could be a little more furnished (a sofa would have been nice). WiFi is slow in the rooms (or at least in our room).

Bar and restaurant prices were exorbitant. Nearly $70 for four cocktails one evening, as we sat in the hotel bar with no other guests around. Hotel staff was not particularly welcoming. Especially the men/valets at the main entrance. They should have smiled and offered greetings when we entered or exited the hotel. Instead, they started at us or looked away. Extremely off putting. The spa facilities were nice, but not everything seemed to be working. Whirlpool jets, a large shower near indoor pool, empty water dispensers.

This hotel is marvellous! The photos on the booking site do not capture the beauty of this hotel (and I couldn’t do it with my own photos either). Lovely luxury, beautiful rooms and grounds, deep warm pool, great food, quiet nights’ sleep & the service from all the staff was warmly professional and welcoming. We especially mention Omar as we had most interactions with him and when he reserved the best restaurants for us we received top tier welcome upon arrival. The valet staff took great care of our car during our stay so that we could be free to use Ubers to get around the city & it was at the front door when we needed it. We loved every minute and wished we had reserved longer than 2 nights. I kept thinking what a wonderful place this would be for a couple to celebrate an important marker in their life.

VMC is a beautiful and serene property. Indoor and outdoor pools, spacious rooms and pleasant surroundings. I had a massage there and it was wonderful!

The food is not what it used to be. Very blend, no flavor. Also, VMC has seen better days, when it used to be part of Chateau Relais. Overall, it is still very good but it needs more TLC. The sauna/jacuzzi area could use a facelift too.

This property is fantastic. It is the perfect tranquil get-away from the bustling city of Guanajuato, especially during a festival time of year!

There is a wonderful spa and sauna and outdoor pool. There is a lovely restaurant and many outdoor sitting areas.

Even though this is a bit of a hike from the historic center of town, we loved how peaceful it was compared to the chaotic city! The property is really a beautiful oasis. Staff was really nice and helpful. We loved the heated outdoor pool, as well as the thermal pool / spa inside. The bed was comfy and the sheets were soft. And we really appreciated that there was an on-site restaurant, though it's very expensive! (There are some great places to eat very close to the hotel, which are a better alternative.)

The room lacked rugs, and the couch was very low, so it wasn't a comfy, cozy place to hang out. The shower was kind of terrible--lots of water pressure, but it was weirdly a wide spray, which made it uncomfortable and hard to rinse shampoo from my hair. And there is some kind of dog kennel or something nearby, and dogs bark around the clock. Definitely bring ear plugs!! Also, just FYI, the water in sinks / showers is not filtered.

The room was quite spacious and the staff went out of their way to be helpful.

The hotel was about a 25-minute walk from the historic center. My husband and I were glad to have the excuse to walk but others might prefer to be a little closer to the center.

We loved this hotel so much and we will come back and enjoy the amenities that this gem has to offer. The hotel is around a 25 minute walk from downtown. It is very quiet and calm. The restaurant Teresita is delicious and the servers are friendly and professional. The bed was so comfortable, the shower was amazing, and the room was very clean. This hotel has little details that make you feel appreciated and at home. We would stay here just to enjoy the spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pool. It even has a movie theater. We absolutely recommend this clean, calm, and beautiful hotel.

Lovely hotel with great facilities! The staff was very friendly and attentive.

The hot water was a bit iffy. We had to ask 2 separate times for them to check on the hot water for our room. They made it right quickly.
