The staff were exceptional with a special thanks to Richard, Alex and Anna who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were very knowledgeable about Guanajuato and were very very ready to suggest local points of interest, restaurants and generally make our stay so enjoyable. The hotel was very elegantly and comfortably furnished and the location was right on the main square. Once inside, the hotel was a quiet and peaceful haven from the bustling outdoors of the Guanajuato square.

More cupboard/drawer space in the room would have been useful

The location of the property was convenient and in a safe area with plenty to see and do. It was a bit loud outside due to the festival taking place however once inside the property it was very quiet. The staff were all very friendly and always willing to help with obtaining breakfast or securing a ride. My ride to the airport did not arrive but the staff accompanied me and helped to secure a new ride and ensure I arrived safe and in time.

The hotel faces Union Garden, and each room has a stylish name. The facilities are new and comfortable. There are also L'Occitane amenities. Unión Garden has live music until midnight, and while other hotels have complained of excessive noise, there was very little noise at this hotel (that's why we had very effective earplugs). Breakfast was served at the upscale restaurant next door and was very delicious with coffee, fruit, bread, and a main dish. Although the price is a little high, it is strongly recommended.

We like almost everything - the room, the people, the location and the breakfasts. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and we would go back to this spot. Easy to get around Guanajuato.

The rooms are over a square which is lovely but very noisy at night - especially Thursday and Friday - we left on Saturday. But the location was great so had to put up with happy people

The location is perfect—just a short walk to downtown, which made it super convenient for exploring the city. One of my favorite parts was the rooftop bar. At night, we enjoyed amazing views of the city lights and could even see some of the main landmarks—it was truly beautiful

I liked everything

I liked the staff, location, cleanliness and idea of roof top bar should I indulge. Staff were over the top in being helpful towards my needs.

“Included breakfast” was decent but was in a restaurant doors from the hotel, which I didn’t mind, but I was highly embarrassed when on the second morning I received a billing folder in which I was required to tip. Apparently the morning before I did not tip, as I never experienced this type of “included breakfast” situation in another restaurant so obviously the waiters targeted me as a non tipper. That embarrassed me as I always tip but was not accustomed to this type of situation. To me “included” when paying $250 a night means totally included. No one made me aware of protocol. On my second night there was thumping music. Be it from the rooftop restaurant or the street as it was Easter holiday. Sleepless night!

Very good hotel right on the main square adjacent to park and Teatro Juarez. Quick walk to cathedrals and other Guanajauto sights. Very comfortable lobby and rooms. Nicely furnished, comfortable bed and seating area in the room.

Had a low ceiling over the sink and bumped my head a couple of times...! My bad.

The location is perfect; right on the main plaza, yet very quiet all night. The building is gorgeous, you get the feeling of being in a mansion. The room was also beautiful and roomy. The staff were fantastic, they even carried our bags over a block to our Uber. Also, for breakfast you have a choice of two restaurants close by. They provide a ticket and both restaurants provide plenty of choices. Both restaurants were excellent.

The location could not be better. The hotel is located on the main plaza where almost everything happens. The real highlight, however, is the staff. They were all friendly and extremely helpful, especially the young woman who supervises the reservations in 1850 and their sister hotel Sterling. My wife and I highly recommend Boutique Hotel 1850.

We like to read and the room lighting is not well suited for reading in bed.

The hotel is a work of art, so beautiful and wonderfully designed, enjoyable and comfortable. The location couldn't be better, right in the center of town and still peaceful inside . We visited every sight we wanted in the city so easily. Thanks for the staff, who did everything they could to comply with our needs a nd requests.
