Converted chateau, very modern inside with air con rooms and dining area, which leads onto a nice patio area overlooking the garden. Staff were really helpful, English spoken by all. Breakfast was full continental with fresh orange juice. Very clean property throughout, would stay again, easy parking onsite.

No food available in the evening - even a plate of cheese or meats would have been good, as the place is a little out of the town centre. Don't suppose you would stay without a car however, so it's an easy 5 mins to restaurants.

The Chateau is in a residential area set on a hill out the lovely city of Brivé. It takes about 30 minutes to walk into the city down hill! Taxi back cost 20€. The manager greeted us and showed us to our room which was clean comfortable and modern, as is the interior of the hotel. We liked the fresh flowers in the corridors. Breakfast was great with lots of bits, eggs included and served at the table. Plenty of parking. Really enjoyed our night here.

room / suite was very comfortable and spotless. The whole place seemed the perfect location for overnighting after a long drive from Calais. With the car safely parked inside the property. The staff were welcoming and stylishly discreet. We were too tired to go out into Brive and eat. Instead we sat in the well designed lounge of the chateau and enjoyed two excellent glasses of wine each. Chateau de Lacan felt like a home from home. Breakfast too was enjoyable. We did not have time to explore the grounds that we could see from our terrace. We would instantly return to this place.

Charming Bijou hotel. Love the contemporary decor inside an old characterful building. This is our 3rd stay . Hosts charming and helpful. Especially Yvonna(sp) who speaks excellent English and couldn't be more pleasant and helpful.

We would have liked a shower screen to the bath to avoid making the floor wet.

Rooms are spacious, very clean and modern. The staff are great and very customer friendly. For instance the hotel called me on the way there to ask if I wanted them to book a restaurant for that evening. Breakfast was also nice.

You need a car to get to the center of town but you expect this staying in a castle.

A very brief pitstop on our journey; the place is quite opulent. Nice welcome on arrival, good room (once we'd figured out which switch worked which lights), quiet & peaceful - which is the top priority after a long day's driving. Satnav ( or at least our satnav) takes you to a couple of streets away initially. You are in a suburban housing estate which is presumably built on land once belonging to the chateau.

The modest petit-dejeuner was expensive for what it was (30 euros for two. Perfectly pleasant offering, but not much of it.

Beautiful boutique hotel, tastefully renovated chateau, good location just outside of the centre of town set in mature garden, best sleep on fast trip north through Europe. Would absolutely recommend 👌

Lovely restored chateau with beautiful decoration. Comfortable bed, very clean room with air conditioning. There was a good selection at breakfast. Overall we had a great stay.l

Room was very comfortable, breakfast was extensive on a lovely terrace. Hosts were extremely helpful in recommending local restaurants. General grounds were very relaxing.

A little out of town so needed to drive to go to a restaurant for dinner

lovely aircon rooms. very helpful manager (owner?) who let us check in early. I suppose the chateau used to own a vast amount of land - now it’s in the middle of a housing development. but it still felt very rural and peaceful.
