I'm plasantly surprised with the accommodation. From the front, it looks like, "How's your father?" But once you learn the layout, this place is a diamond. They had Downstairs and upstairs rooms. I was down. Very clean, well-kept rooms. Onsuite was high-end clean. Modern fridge, aircon, TV. Bed was comfy. The first day was a mystery as you had to wait till 4 pm. for the proprietor to open the pub to collect a key. Had a couple of ales with the friendly locals and topped it off with dinner. If you're looking for excellent digs, look no further.

There is nothing to dislike about this place.

Location was great, right in the main street. Very comfy bed, although on a very busy road, I had a very good night's sleep. A phone call from management prior to my visit was very helpful, in that I was able to get a ground level room instead of up stairs. He also made suggestions of places to get a meal which was helpful, being a Sunday that I was there.

Being on a busy road, which really did not bother me.

Owner called me to check i still wanted the room when i was late checking in, as another person wanted the room. Owner offered an evening meal & a drink in the lounge bar. I already had a meal ready but this option sounded better. Waitress suggested Chicken Pot Pie which was excellent.

Location was the main benefit of our staying at this hotel. We kept travelling in the desired direction which made it easier when we left.

The shower was just a curtain and the water spread too far, however, I was prepared and kept my clothes off the floor.

Clean and tidy, basic needs met

The provision of a toaster and microwave was great, but there were no plates or cutlery. So, if you do not travel with your own, the items are of no use.

It is very conveniently located for a stopover when driving from Melbourne to northern Queensland. The friendly owner and great food made it perfect.

Pet Friendly was what attracted us initially. Linen and ammenities were very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The room was sound proof and quiet. A kettle and microwave were provided however no toaster.

The carpet was a bit grubby from a previous dog. I feel the pet owner should have cleaned the carpet after their pets accident.

A great place to rest the feet and relax in the afternoon after work. The hotel staff are incredible friendly, accomodating, and relaxed. Came for work with an uncertain check out, the manager was easy to communicate with and flexible and prepared for all scenarios. The restaurant attached does an excellent feed too!

The upgraded rooms are great, however the wifi range isn’t great. The manager said that wifi boosters are coming soon!

didnt have breakfast but thoroughly enjoyed the evening meal in the bistro..the staff including the chef were so helpful in helping us choose the size and attributes of the meals we had chosen and we couldnt have enjoyed the meals more..absolutely delicious and know where to eat next time we are in the area..and I must point out how friendly everyone was

Friendly people, room very comfortable. had a meal in the restaurant, this was definitely a cut above the normal pub meal and would highly recommend this to everyone.
