we have stayed before. the first thing we do is strip the bed and start again as they use the thickest duvets and it was very hot at the end of June. No AC. the road outside can be a bit noisy BUT it does quieten down later... the bed is very very comfy in fact 2 doubles pushed together so plenty of room. very good shower and nice sized bathroom. nice quiet room at the end of the corridor so no elevator noise or being disturbed by other guests which is great as we had the dog with us. very safe/plenty of room for parking. Good restaurants within walking distance - we will stay again and we do recommend - just 2 hours from Le shuttle too.

they use a lot of bedding..... so we just unmake and remake the bed to our liking

The space was v good. The ceiling high and good room size. Situation excellent for Aveue Verte cyclists . Lockable bike room. Good breakfast and we could make a picnic lunch for our days cycling. Bath had lots of hot water. There is a coffee machine in the breakfast room which does hot chocolate etc and this is essential as no kettle in the room. The garden view was nice.the windows open and it is quiet. The bed was comfortable.

It’s a little bit tired in places room furniture old and a bit sorry for its self. Coffee making in room would be good.

Good parking around the back of the hotel, easy check-in large room with a balcony at the front but it was boiling hot, it was a rainy day but the room was very hot, we had to turn off the bathroom radiator and open the balcony doors. the mattress was comfortable BUT the bed was made so tight you had to un-make it to get in, there is no restaurant on site, but they do serve breakfast in a room off the main lobby, but there is a restaurant next door called "Valhalla" that serves good pub grub style food at very reasonable prices. Good shower and separate toilet, small bottled water in room and some shower gel etc

the bedding. loose bottom sheet, loose top sheet then a duvet then another loose sheet... I spent all night fighting with the bed clothes, room was super hot and you could hear noise from next door.

The wonderful garden i was overlooking seeing the goats and hear the cockeral call in the morning.

The room was very well appointed with a comfortable bed. The suite was very well appointed with an excellent shower and batch. The breakfast was a bit expensive but was excellent for choice.

There were no bar facilities in the hotel. I made use of the bar across from the casino before finding that it is part of the same company yet there is no indication of this being the case in the Hotel Le Continental. I was asked by the staff at the bar facilities if I was staying at the hotel before being served, I replied no but yet it seems that was not quite correct. Why was this not made clear in my room ? Or did I overlook this information ? Anyway, the Hotel Le Continental should have some bar facilities in my opinion.

The location and parking. Friendly, helpful staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Powerful, hot shower.

At breakfast the bread was exposed for everyone to touch whilst cutting it, which does not feel very hygienic. No dietary information available about allergens.

we booked breakfast and asked if our dog was allowed in the breakfast room, we were told yes, otherwise we wouldn’t have booked breakfast. when my husband brought our little dog to the table a member of staff came and told us no dogs were allowed and when we told her we asked at reception when we booked she shrugged and said sorry pointing at a small notice on the doors. As there is a supplement for your dog to stay and there was a dog in that area when we checked in the night before this spoilt our stay. This is the first hotel in France where this has happened.

The best surprise was the lock up garage for our bicycles. Wonderful. lovely big bedrooms and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Nice view. Did not have Breakfast but enjoyed the coffee and hot chocolate that we could have anytime. Nice friendly helpful staff

To have our dog welcome in the room was excellent for us. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location was good too.

It would be better if rooms for dogs did not have carpet. We were sneezing a lot 🤧 and I believe this is due to carpet having had dogs in the room previously.

Apart from anything else, the building is fascinating! The room was large, the bathroom big enough to host a party. It's a short walk into the town, and a short walk to the casino if that's your style. The nearby Valhalla restaurant is good for an evening meal - but you need to book a table. Otherwise they can serve charcuterie and cheese. The cycle storage was a huge secure garage.
