The grand hotel felt luxurious. Staff was exceptionally friendly and the breakfast was quite good, especially the coffee drink selection (mocha, latte, americano, etc).

The location up the hill was a bit of a struggle for my mother with her suitcase but it’s a short walk from the train station and we managed it.

The breakfast was very good. A good variety of food for all to enjoy. many local food selections to try from which was very nice and added to the experience. The view of the rooms were also excellent, try asking for a fjord view on the 3rd floor and up.

The coffee service during breakfast was not to good. Filter coffee is available for self help but to get a cappuccino or latte you need to order from the waiter and they are extremely busy with running breakfast service, so it can take a while to order some fancy coffee. The extractor fan in the bathroom seemed a bit slow, we had to keep the door open for along time to get rid of all the steam from the shower

It is quite a grand old hotel. We liked the photographic wall backgrounds all around the hotel. We had a large comfortable bed and there was a view over the fjord and mountains opposite. It was very hot when we were there but we managed to open the window wide to let air in. We had a nice meal in the restaurant on one night and the price was reasonable for the quality of the food.

The room wasn't that large, the bed taking up most of the space. The hotel is a steep climb from the station with luggage.

it's s small town so obviously its in the center, and not a big hotel, but rooms are very good, and the restaurant in the lobby was extremely tasty. the breakfast has huge variety of staff and was exceeded our expectations

Great location, short walk (uphill) from train station and downtown area. Clean, great hot water pressure . Breakfast was decent - had both hot food (eggs bacon sausages) as well as continent options. Cold cuts, salad, fruit, bread, muesli etc. The staff are great! Super friendly and helpful. Zahra and Markus in particular!

It's an old hotel though seems well maintained. Also there are steps up into the hotel before you get into the lobby (can be a pain with luggage)

Cosy room with a great view to Romsdalsgonden and surrounding fjord and mountains. There is everything needed in the room and a capsule coffee machine. Breakfast is really good with lots of food you can try. Building is the one with a history, so you can have a look at the photos on the hotel walls, giving you an image of how it was before. There is really nice restaurant with tasty food and good cocktails downstairs, recommend to book it beforehand on Friday. You can book a e-bike and e-car there.

Room is a bit small with a big armchair, which makes you hard to move around. It needs to be renovated a bit, there is somewhere dust, but the room carpet is perfectly clean.

The breakfast had exceptional choice and the items were of high quality. The hotel is central and has charm. The room was clean.

Some rooms are smaller than others as can be seen in the photos. We received a very small room with a window which let in a draft - room 501, corner room, top floor. The view of the mountains was also obstructed by the hotel roof. The hotel is not cheap...at about 264 euros a night, you shouldn't have to deal with a drafty room with no control of room temperature. The bed was also exceptionally uncomfortable. I could barely stand in the morning. Water pooled in the bathroom in the centre of the room...the bathroom was quite small and cramped.

The hotel was quite classic style, well decorated. very quite. dinner was well cooked

The hotel has several good points, including hotel is quiet, clean and new, shower water is strong enough, location is convenient, bed and quilt is comfortable, having free parking space beside the hotel. Especially, breakfast is very good, staffs are all very friendly and helpful, and the cost-effectiveness is very high. Besides, the hotel nearly the cable car station, can go to see the very beautiful Rampestreken view.
