Having just arrived from the UK, this was a great place to unwind for a few days before travelling across Flores. The beachfront bungalow was just perfect. Big shady veranda with a hammock and beanbag. The outdoor bathroom was fabulous. The staff are lovely people. I think most people stay here for a night or two, but I could have stayed longer than the 4 nights I did. If you hire a scooter, the areas outside Maumere are beautiful and well worth a look. The only downside was the amount of rubbish on the nearby beaches. If you can overlook that, it is a nice walk in both directions along the beach. The photos are taken walking nearby. Free use of a kayak is also a bonus. Really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it.

This is third time staying here and it was still the most wonderful place on a gorgeous white sandy beach. We were a family group of 14 with adults and kids. Kayaks and Paddle Boards are provided so there was something for all of the group to do. The sunsets are spectacular! The breakfast has lovely options with great coffee. The rest of the menu is as expected seasonal but most of our choices were available. The team were helpful and friendly as always. Will definitely be going again!

Our flights to Maumere were cancelled but we re-booked via Ende & drove to Maumere instead. I recommend doing this - even with a long drive the stay is definitely worth it and you get to see gorgeous sites on the way. Also portion sizes of food were slightly smaller than previous visits so some of the more hungry members of the group had to order further dishes which we didn't have to do before.

A dream resort, built with lots of love and lots of details to discover. My bungalow with a view of the sea was a dream. This love of detail continues inside and in the open-air bathl, there are lots of details to discover. There is also a place to chill out with a hammock right outside the door, as well as rattan chairs and two beanbags. The resort also has an airy feel, as the total area of ​​the resort is large, so you don't step on each other's toes. The staff is very helpful and service-oriented. Great team. Some people complain that you have to order your dinner an hour in advance. When I go to a restaurant in Europe, I also have to wait for the food I ordered, and that doesn't apply to all dishes, and if you're on the run, this absolutely chilled resort is definitely not the right place for you. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Amazing place and amazing staff. We stayed here from 18-23 September. From the first moment on you feel welcome. Our arrive was late in the evening, and the first thing they did was making us some diner while the kitchen was already closed. Every breakfast and diner were delicious and served with a smile. My wife was celebrating her birthday, and they organized a perfect diner with cake and songs 😊 Besides that, also the bed was prepared with a welcome text. The resort looks great, the bungalows are amazing. You can see that they made it with love for details. Every morning you open the curtains, and you have a beautiful look at the see. If we ever come to Flores again, for sure we will visit this place again.

Our bungalow was very nice and spacious with an open air bathroom :) Towels and bath gel provided. Beds with mosquito nets, so we could sleep without mosquito bites :) Very good and healthy breakfast - all juices were excellent :) Very helpful and friendly staff, who helped us to arrange a transfer to the airport 500 km away when our flight was unexpectedly cancelled.

Mosquitos were very persistent :( Sometimes the internet connection was weak so we were not able to pay our bills by card. The day before we left the sea washed up a lot of rubbish :(

My stay at Coconut Garden Beach Resort in Maumere was truly memorable. The location is breathtaking, with a serene beachfront setting that immediately puts you at ease. The architecture and design of the resort are stunning, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and the outdoor bathroom was a delightful touch, adding to the resort's charm. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. A special mention to Franziska, who kindly brought me a morsel to my room to create a paste for my husband's infected foot—such thoughtful care that made us feel truly looked after.

The only downside for me was that the décor felt a bit overdone. While I appreciate attention to detail, the resort's aesthetic leaned toward being a little kitsch. I believe a simpler approach would have been more effective, allowing the natural beauty of the location to shine through.

This hotel could be a destination just in itself! It's in a coconut plantation, of course, which is located right on the beach. The rooms are standalone bungalows with plenty of space in between, and designed and decorated in a completely whimsical and charming fashion. We couldn't stop taking pictures of it. The restaurant is good, the beach is good (when the tide is not out - it's shallow and muddy at low tide), and we really wished we could stay longer. Next time we're on Flores, we will 100% make a point to stay here.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Coconut Garden Resort with friends, and I can honestly say it felt like living in paradise! From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped by the serene ambiance of the coconut gardens. The hut was spacious and beautifully designed, with a perfect blend of comfort and nature. And the bathroom – very unique and the most beautiful I’ve ever have a pleasure to use. Each morning, we woke up to the soothing sounds of nature, and the ocean view is simply breathtaking. It was the ideal place to relax and unwind on our travel around Flores. Staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring our stay was perfect in every way. The location is ideal for romantic getaway. The tranquility of Coconut Garden Resort was a true delight. If you're looking for a magical getaway with friends or family, I can't recommend Coconut Garden Resort highly enough.

A little oasis after 9 days of home stays travelling across Flores. Beautiful bungalow. Friendly accommodating staff, nothing was any trouble they organised a driver for me, brought hot water to my room to make my own tea and coffee, organised to do my laundry… Delicious food.

Unfortunately I had to leave a day early to drive 5 hours to Ende, due to volcanic activity closing Maumere airport. I was not able to get a refund for the last night because “ I booked through booking.com”

Stunning setting, great place to chill and relax. It's out of town and not within walking distance to any other shops etc, but the food at the restaurant is more than sufficient to keep you going. Friendly staff with a spotlessly clean room. Fantastic sunsets right from the property. Just a heads up that the 'bed' is a mattress on the floor, it was comfy, but I know some people might find that harder going to get in/out from. The mosquito net doesn't quite reach round either, but I didn't have any issues with mosquitos there. I used their airport transfer service when I left, perfectly on time (at 5.30am!) and worked a treat.

Bring your own snorkeling gear - I didn't take mine as it said they had it free to borrow. It took them a good 20 minutes to dig up a very old and scratched mask that clearly needed cleaning. Unfortunately it was that old that the rubber had gone stiff and there was no way I could get it to create a seal. I waited a while for hot water from the shower but ended up taking a 'refreshing' one instead. It's warm out, so not a big deal to me. I did get chilly at night and asked for a blanket and was given an extra sheet.
