I had a very enjoyable and relaxing time at the Majilis Resort. The staff were very attentive (I stayed there on my birthday and they even surprised me with a birthday cake and beautiful flower arrangement on the bed). The place is beautiful and the food is very good. I would for sure recommend it, and most likely stay there again if/when I return to Lamu.

There is no WiFi service in the bedrooms

This resort is beautifully designed and maintained with such ellegant attention to detail in every aspect. Staff were so amazing and the services from the room stewards, waiters, barman, boat captains and dhow waiter was excellent. Truly loved the smiling faces of all the staff and always happy to be of assistance. The beach was tranquil over looking the village of shela in the distance, the sunset views at the infinity pool was amazing. Transfers and our tours were arrange perfectly. If you are a lover of art, interior design and architecture, this place will blow you away. Thank you Majlis for a truly memorable stay.

I really can't find a single fault or something that disappointed me or made me doubt my stay for even a second.

Facilities, friendly and kind staff, great food. It’s cleanliness, not packed. There’s a lot of spots to hangout Eg pool, bars and restaurants to accommodate all the guests. The location is stunning. I loved the sunset and swimming in the ocean.

The reception staff did not explain everything to us when we arrived. For example sunset boat cruise costs, how the boat transport from the hotel etc works and costs. There was a noisy guest next to our room.

Everything was wonderful, the design is very tasteful, the staff is super on it and friendly, the food is good, the rooms are comfortable, everything is working well. It is kid friendly, but the kids aren't disturbing the others by the way of the layout. We had a great time!

The only comment I would have is that the mattress was quite hard, but it wasn't a problem, it was fine!

Majlis is truly as advertised. The staff have excellent customer service. Our experience was exceptional from the point of meeting up at the airport to drop off. Value for money.

We experienced some missing items on the menu. With apologies from the staff for this.

The facilities were amazing, the staff was attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay beautiful. The food was spectacular and there so many options to choose from. We got to do all the activities we were looking forward to. Special mention to Masha, Boni, George at the pool bar, Captain Salim, Sayid our tour guide in old town Lamu as well as Jennifer at the spa. These amazing people flew the Majlis flag high and we appreciate them so much.

I loved everything about the property. Our Junior Suite was amazing. The pool facilities were also great and the Mediterranean Bar was awesome.

Their Wi-Fi was unstable we went for almost two days without wifi connection

The location was beautiful, a beautiful oasis and the views were spectacular. I appreciated that staff were responsive over on WhatsApp, they were able to support with my questions and answered them in a timely manner. The staff members were equally lovely, and welcoming.

the people are amazing with special mention of Najma who check us in…quite understanding always smiling and made my experience to be way better than expected…the rooms are outside this world especially the art in and outside the buildings
